You may have noticed a trend with my outfits lately featuring scarves and a few skirts here and there. It was too hot to wear winter scarves and blanket scarves in the winter, but our late winter and early spring has been perfect for light weight spring scarves, so I'm getting my fill now. I've also had these jacket earrings on repeat and these cut out flats have been my go to as well. I purchased them  three years ago at Target but they did not get the attention they deserve until now.

9 to 5 Style

Happy Spring ya'll! I'm so excited about today for more than one reason. I'm ready to wear full on spring fashion. Last week's cold spell was not fun. I had to pull out sweaters and I had mentally given up on cold weather so it was not fun. I usually struggle with spring fashion, but this year I've added a few new pieces to my closet and I'm excited to wear them. Spring is usually a very short season for us, and then it's full on hot and humid before the calendar even says summer, but we will see how this year goes.

 

Besides the fact that it's spring, I'm excited to introduce a new feature to the blog today. I've collaborated with Jennie from A Pocket Full of Polka Dots to bring you 9 to 5 Style every third Monday of the month. One item that seems pretty popular every spring is the bomber jacket. I don't own one but think they could be fun if only they were a little more practical for me. I couldn't wear it to work and our temps get pretty warm pretty quickly, so I really don't have a need for spring jackets. If I did, here are my picks. Clearly, I have a thing for the floral ones and the laser cut faux suede one is pretty sweet.

Greenery- Saturday Shopping

Pantone's color of the year is greenery, and I'm all for it.  Greenery is more of a yellow- green, but I'm all for any shade of green. Emerald used to be one of my favorite colors. I had a pageant gown in emerald in eighth and ninth grade. Funny thing is, I don't really have a lot of it in my closet at the present time. Hmmm... maybe I should remedy that.

Splurge vs Save- Saturday shopping

I decided to do something a little different for today's Saturday Shopping post. Some unique things have caught my eye but they are way over my budget or what I find reasonable to spend on clothing, so I decided to do a little splurge vs save post. This is just for fun. I doubt I'd ever buy any of these, even in the save column, except maybe the loafers. I don't wear baseball caps and the bomber probably wouldn't be practical for me as we don't have enough cool weather. Our springs are pretty warm. Oh, can you tell I have spring on the brain? Did the florals give it away? We have had no winter and I'm over trying to wear a winter wardrobe that it is not even cold enough for, so let's move on. Hello spring!
