Denim and joggers

I wore this outfit last weekend to a cute "Mommy and me" photo session we did. It gave me flexibility to move around to take photos but still look somewhat put together. I did not own any sneakers for years, other than the ones I run in, but I have thoroughly enjoyed this pair of slip ons. Now that regular sneakers are becoming accepted as fashionable I may have to invest in another pair for wear other than running. Any suggestions?

Today is my Friday and beginning Friday and through the weekend we've got lots of plans. It's going to be  a busy weekend so I'll keep this short and get moving.

You most often see my office attire here but I have my casual moments too. This was one of them. I wore this to Bible study last week. These olive joggers are perfect for casual days and for fall. I debuted them here as a summer outfit, but I knew their late start in my closet and wardrobe would not hinder them getting attention. Olive is on trend for fall and with our warm fall seasons, this combo of chambray and olive is perfect. I look like I'm ready for fall, but the lightweight materials keep me cool.

It's all good again

I wore this to mid-week church service Wednesday night. When I come home from work, I like to put on shorts, sweats or pajamas and stay in them until the next morning. I have to really make myself dress and go out again on Wednesday evenings. This was as close to pajamas as I could get. It was comfortable but still appropriate for public.  It's the tout va bien graphic tee I wore a couple of weeks ago when it was hot, but the temps have cooled off so I was able to add a cardigan. I was inspired by this oufit by Love Lucy Girl. I'm getting more wear out of my sneakers this fall than I did in the summer.

It's All Good

I really wanted to wear a more fall like sweatshirt version of this outfit, but with temps in the high 80's last week, that wasn't an option. If you're stuck in the southern states like me, maybe this will be a little inspiration to you. If you have cooler temps, add a denim or moto jacket. I think either one would be cute. At least I can be grateful for the opportunity to wear this tee I picked up on clearance just before I did the 30x30 challenge.

Aztec track pants and utility vest

Vest- Khol's option option
tee- Belk's
pants-  Macy's (sold out)  option  option
shoes- Macy's option  option
necklace- gift option
bracelets- Target/ Banana Republic option option

We were back into a warming trend last week but it was decent enough Wednesday evening to add the utility vest as a layer. I think it helps make my track pants a little more fall like. This is an outfit that came together because I saw the vest and pants hanging on the clothes line drying together. Have you ever made an outfit from random pieces hanging on your line or lying in the laundery basket together? Maybe that would be a fun challenge sometime- just pull random pieces from the laundry that you didn't originally wear together and create an outfit.

Aztec track pants

Shirt- Forever21 option option option
shoes- Macys option option
necklace- JCPenney option option
worn May 17, 2014

I bought this shirt last week at Forever21 when I had a chance to go to a store. It comes in other colors (cobalt, red) but I cannot find it online. I have been looking for a perforated or open weave piece to add to my wardrobe and this one fit my needs.

Now let's talk more about these pants. I bought them on the same trip. I was not trying to create an outfit with the two pieces, but they work together for a sporty chic look. What I was looking for was a pair of "soft pants". When track pants hit the scene, I instantly said "no" to myself. Just one of those pieces that no matter how you wear them, they are still what they are- track pants, and track pants are not an item of fashionable wear (like flip flops- sorry ladies, well talk about that later.) I was not going to go there. But I was growing more interested in a soft flowy pair of pants. About 15 years ago, I had a pair- black with a little flower print- and I wore them ALL THE TIME. I LOVED THEM. So comfortable and easy to dress up or down. So I definitely wanted to get back in on that trend (isn't it funny how trends come around in 10, 15, 20 or even 30  year waves?)
I found some pants that I liked in the juniors department (should I admit that? I'm 40.) The funny thing is I ended up liking the elastic bottom ones that are like track pants more than the others. So here you have it, I'm wearing track pants. And they are so comfortable, I think I'm in pajamas.
