Polka dots, pinstripes and pearls

Happy Thanksgiving! It's time to bring on the turkey and pumpkin pie. I hope you have some time off to relax too. Our work always gives us the Friday after, and I'm beyond thankful for that extra day. If you do have to go back to work soon, then maybe this outfit will inspire you to play a little and relax your attire just a bit. I paired polka dots and pinstripes for a playful office look. Some faux pearls keep it polished.

It's hard to find pinstripe blazers to link up, but this checkered pattern blazer would look just as cute with polka dots in my opinion. The key to a playful office look and pattern mixing is to stick with very neutral colors and subtle patterns.

I'm not sure how I feel about these pants. Shoe choice definitely makes a difference. I've worn them with loafers, and I've worn them with pumps ( with pumps here too ). Both of those options definitely look better with them than these wedge pumps. Or maybe it's the color scheme or the tucked in shirt, but I find something a little off with this outfit. Do you have those days? Do you ever wear something and think it's great, then look at photos, and say " What was I thinking?'  Nonetheless, I do still like the combination of polka dots, pinstripes and pearls, and I'm glad I played around with this.
