How to wear teal and orange to the office

Wear them together, of course. That's how to wear teal and orange to the office. Choose your orange in a nice rust shade for fall vibes. Pair a rust jacket and teal trousers, and keep the top or tee simple and plain. Add some accessories that tie it all together.

Have you paired these colors before? For a more casual outfit, try teal skinny jeans and an orange tunic. Add a blue or teal beaded necklace, leopard booties and you've got a super cute casual fall outfit.

Here's to a short week! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself. Here's to grey and olive too. I love how these two colors work together.

Fall work wear

Burgundy is one of my go to colors for fall work wear. It's a classic fall color and still stays on the conservative side.

Mustard print bell sleeve top

One of my Nordstrom Anniversary sale purchases was this mustard print bell sleeve top. I knew the material would be great for our warm falls. Fall has been a little slow coming so I just recently got a chance to wear it. Of course it's sold out now, but keep reading, I've linked up some cute options.

The neutral cardigan

A neutral cardigan is a must have piece. It can be the completer piece to almost any outfit and it can go with you to your chilly office in the summer to keep you warm.

Easy neutral look with a pop of burgundy

You last saw me wear this suit as an all neutral look with leopard pumps. This time I picked a blouse with fall colors and played up the burgundy.

It's my favorite Monday of the month- 9 to 5 Style with Jennie at A Pocketful of Polka Dots. This month we chose plaid as our theme.

Plaid can be a little tricky for a conservative office like mine. Most plaid shirts would be frowned upon at my work, so I have to stick to skirts, pants and shirt dresses in a more traditional subtle pattern.

A New Day floral scarf

I recently added this A New Day scarf from Target to my collection. I had vowed not to add another scarf this year because it doesn't really get cold enough to wear them, but this one was a perfect match to the one on the GYPO shopping list and with the outfits, so I knew it would go perfectly with my existing outfits. It's also light enough to get away with wearing it in warmer temps if I keep it away from my neck, as I did here. (I can't find this exact one online so I've linked up some similar scarves below.)

A tee shirt and jeans is always an easy outfit. Take it up a notch for fall by pairing a lace tee with olive jeans and leopard sneakers.

Fringe cardigan

A cardigan is a classic piece to have and can function year round, but it's definitely a fall favorite. Add some fun details or twist to a classic and you've got a novelty basic. Your piece still functions like it's classic counterpart, but it's a lot more fun. This fringe trim cardigan fits that category, and it's perfect for my warm fall.

Cardigan- Old Navy  option  option  option
tee- Old Navy  option  option
jeans- JCPenney  option  option
shoes- Piperlime (old)  option  option  option
necklace- Harper and Jewels  option
earrings- Macy's  option  option

I've paired my favorite Old Navy tee with my favorite pair of jeans. These are still the softest jeans and they wear well and stay in place well. The fringe trim cardigan adds a modern update and another touch of trendiness. My cardigan has sold out but I've linked up some other fun options. I have this tee in burgundy and grey, and it's my favorite. I love it's loose fit and drape and it's perfect for tucking too.

The dress that doesn't quit

If you don't own a chambray dress, then you should. It's the one piece in my closet that just won't quit. It's almost as good, or better, than having the classic chambray shirt.

Wear now/ wear later Loft sale picks

Happy Saturday! Loft is having a 50% off sale this weekend. Many of my picks will be less than $25 dollars with that discount. Use code SUMMER17 online. Prices are good in store too.  These deals are even better than many of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale deals and my Loft clothing is sticking with me season after season. Someone pointed out that there is only six weeks of summer left. For me there is a lot more hot weather left, but if six weeks were all I had, I'd probably start dropping off the summer purchases and start looking to things I could transition to fall. With that in mind, I've rounded up Loft items that can be worn now and later.
