Velvet for spring and Five for Friday

This is another outfit I wore during our warm spell in February. It was so warm I didn't need sleeves or another layer, and I had yet to wear this velvet tee. I thought the material would keep it season appropriate at the time.

Casual fall outfit and 5 ways to prepare for the holidays

I'm sharing a casual fall outfit today that's made up of the must have neutral cardigan we talked about last week and my embroidered jeans (now less than $20). I'm also sharing 5 ways to prepare for the holidays.

Fringe cardigan

A cardigan is a classic piece to have and can function year round, but it's definitely a fall favorite. Add some fun details or twist to a classic and you've got a novelty basic. Your piece still functions like it's classic counterpart, but it's a lot more fun. This fringe trim cardigan fits that category, and it's perfect for my warm fall.

I've paired my favorite Old Navy tee with my favorite pair of jeans. These are still the softest jeans and they wear well and stay in place well. The fringe trim cardigan adds a modern update and another touch of trendiness. My cardigan has sold out but I've linked up some other fun options. I have this tee in burgundy and grey, and it's my favorite. I love it's loose fit and drape and it's perfect for tucking too.
