Velvet for spring and Five for Friday

This is another outfit I wore during our warm spell in February. It was so warm I didn't need sleeves or another layer, and I had yet to wear this velvet tee. I thought the material would keep it season appropriate at the time.

I was slow to add velvet and missed wearing it in the peak season, even though I bought this shirt around Christmas. (Too many clothes, too little time to wear them?) I've since decided that the blush color and pairing it with floral embroidered jeans also gives a nod to spring. So why not wear velvet for spring?

So what happened this week?

1. Sunday night we realized that we had a clogged pipe at the kitchen sink just before bed time. We got the sink to drain but couldn't get rid of the clog and back flow completely so we had to call a plumber Monday morning. That was not how I wanted to start a week.

2. The hubby spent all afternoon Monday cleaning the kitchen and the dishes we could not wash Sunday night. He did not want to wash any more dishes so we had gluten free frozen pizza (him), sandwiches and chip (me), ice cream and our favorite gluten free cookies. Not a healthy way to start the week either but sometimes you just have to give in and make things simpe. We watched Sun Dogs on Netflix while we ate supper. It's a must see, especially if you are familiar with The Catcher in the Rye.

3. If you caught last Friday's Five for Friday, you know I had a St. Patrick's Day wreath and a Valentine's center piece to replace. I'm happy to report that got accomplished last weekend.

4. I'm struggling to get back into a work out routine, but I got in two workouts this week. And there's still today and tomorrow.

5. My current playlist of full of Crowder and Toby Mac. I can worship and get motivated at the same time, especially with Toby Mac's "Move".

Have a great weekend!
