Valentine's Inspired Look Day to Night

Today I've collaborated with Ada at Elegance and Mommyhood and several other bloggers to bring you some Valentine's Inspired Day to Night looks. I always think of red or pink when I think of Valentine's day, so I chose to style my red buffalo plaid and faux leather leggings in a day to night look.

Work to Weekend: One Piece Three Ways

I'm back again with another Work to Weekend post. This time I'm featuring a blue tunic blouse that until recently I've only worn to work. It's a versatile piece that can transition to other outfits, so lets take a look at three ways to wear it.

9 to 5 Style- leopard print

Welcome to 9 to 5 Style! The third  Monday of every month Jennie of A Pocketful of Polka Dots and I will showcase a theme featuring our individual takes on a professional look. Our aim is to inspire and show professional style does not have to mean boring and without personality. We hope you enjoy our 9 to 5 Style!

This month we are showing you how to wear leopard print to the office. I love leopard and it's pretty much a neutral. It definitely can be worn to the office when paired with the right pieces.

Nordstrom fall sale and gifts for her under $25

Nordstrom is having their fall sale now through Nov. 12. It's a great time to start your holiday shopping so I've rounded up the best sale items under $25 and under $50 that would make great gifts for her, or worthy splurges for you.

Burgundy boots take two

Shirt- JCrew Factory  option  option
jeans- Loft
bracelet- Alex and Ani
leopard clutch- Nordstrom  option  option  option

Yes, I wore these booties two days in a row. I loved the results I got pairing them against the white and with this red plaid. I could make this a daily fall uniform if only I could wear this to work.

See four more ways to wear this plaid shirt HERE.

Speaking of work, I worked late and brought home more work to do so I'm cutting this post short. Thanks for following and I always appreciate your sweet comments.

Dressing up a striped tee

Blazer- Gap  option  option
Pants- Gap   option  option  option
blouse- Banana Republic  option  option  option  option
pendant- old  option  option
earrings- The Limited (old)  option
shoes- Ann Klein (old)  similar

Grab a power suit and throw it on with a striped tee and you've instantly dressed up your tee! Not every striped tshirt will work, but a nice soft one with a fancy trim like this one does the trick. The one I'm wearing is no longer available, but I think this Top Shop tee with crochet trim would look cute peeking out from a suit or blazer.

Currently I'm... calling - my mother. I loved to call my friends as a teenager and tie up the phone line for hours, but now I hate to make phone calls. I do it as required all day at work, but at home I hate to make calls, so my mother is the only one privileged to receive a phone call from me. And occasionally the hubby when I need to communicate to him where I am or what's going on, and then it might just be a text. Are you into making phone calls and chatting it up, or do you communicate with friends and loved ones another way?

Hope your week is progressing nicely. Be sure to check out my Nordstrom sale work wear picks.

Leaping leopards

Blazer- Dorothy Perkins  option  option
blouse- Ross  option  option  option
pants- TJMaxx  option  option  option
shoes- TJMaxx  option option  option
necklace- Lulu's  option  option
worn Feb. 26, 2016

So I missed posting on the extra day of the year. I was just too busy this weekend and had to get up and leave to early for work yesterday to make it happen. How is it that I get an extra day and still run behind?

Anyway, I continued my newly found love of camel and gray by pairing this blazer and these pants, along with a pop of leopard. This is totally a pinterest inspired outfit.

Marsala and leopard

Blazer- old  option  option
sweater- Dress Barn (old)  option option
Pants- Limited  option  option  option
shoes- Payless   option   option
necklace- Poshmark  option  option  option
earrings- Sears  option  option
clutch- Nordstrom/ Sole Society similar but not leopard
Worn Feb. 19, 2016

This combination of marsala (burgundy) sweater (worn before here)  and camel pants (with navy and red here ) just screamed to have leopard with it. I could have added my leopard pumps but went with the lower heel nude ones and pulled in the leopard with the clutch. I spent some of my Christmas money on the clutch after wanting and searching for one for over a year. The Clare V is out of my budget for a clutch. I carry a clutch as a fun bag on the weekends, but it doesn't serve me much during the work week. Totes are better suited for that.

What's your favorite bag choice?

Hope you had a great weekend. We spent it working on taxes, some photography projects and scrapbooking.
