Basics and accessories

A white tee/ tunic and jeans can easily be dressed up with accessories like a scarf and hat.

Take basics like jeans and a white tee or tunic and add accessories like a hat and scarf and cute booties and you have endless options. Change the color scheme if you like, add another layer like a vest or cardigan. It's up to you. You can create outfit after outfit with two basics. This is an outfit I pinned and recreated.

This is my favorite hat to wear in the fall and winter. If you need more inspiration on how to wear or style a hat, I've started a new Pinterest board just for that. Be sure to follow. I'm kind of smitten with newsboy caps right now, but I'm not sure if I will like them on me.

So, you  may notice something different about the photos. The watermark would probably be a giveaway. I FINALLY got the hubby to take blog photos of me. (I usually take them with a tripod and remote.) Portrait work is not one of his favorite things, but it's primarily where we have an income with our side photography business, and even though he prefers still life and animals, he does a great job with portraits. He just doesn't really get the whole fashion blog thing and we have two different visions sometimes. We went to do a family Christmas photo shoot a couple of weeks ago, so I asked for him to take photos for me while we were at the location. This villa is one of his favorite places for portraits so it was pretty easy to get him to agree. He even handed over the raw files and let me do the editing and cropping. I'm excited to share these photos.

Hope you have a great week!
