Are we there yet? Is it Friday? Almost... That's how I'm feeling about now.

It seems like everything in this outfit is old. Old but worn in a new way. And I apparently like wearing these shoes with these pants? Do you have pieces like that? You always wear the same shoes, or same accessories, or same whatever? Even if you change something else up?

How do you bring a black and white outfit into spring/summer? Just add color! This hot pink blazer and colorful bead necklace were just what I needed to make this outfit bright and cheery for spring and summer.  Here's similar version of this outfit worn in the winter. Thankfully we have had a very mild spring for us and I've been able to keep wearing these pants. They are a heavier weight material and may be too hot once summer actually comes.

Speaking of summer- did you catch my round up of summer shorts? I'm sure there will be some great sales this weekend to help up get ready for summer.

I was inspired by a Loft ad that came through my email to pair these pieces together. The ad showed a top this color with patterned black and white shorts. The shorts are really nothing like my pants, but I immediately thought of them.

Hope your having a great week so far!

Do you ever feel like you struggle to come up with new outfits? I sure do. And for some reason, Spring always seems to be the biggest challenge. I added a few new pieces last spring, but I feel like I can't possibly come up with new ways to wear them. I did a spring capsule wardrobe last year and found out that a capsule can get really boring. And I still struggled with outfits.  Maybe I'm limiting my choices because I've gained a few pounds this year and I feel like some of my pencil skirts and pants aren't the best fit right now. I don't know. Anyway, this top was one of last year's purchases- seen here just a few days shy of a year ago. I like it with the contrast of grey and the pops of yellow here.

I've worn this skirt many times, but I was inspired by this ad to create a little  more casual look with it. (The dress in the ad is still available in a few sizes.) As much as I love new clothes, I love finding new ways to wear old pieces.  Hope you are having a great week. Last week and this one have been crazy busy at work, but hey, we are half way through this one!

It took me seeing a similar combination on someone else for me to realize I could put these two pieces together. I've done lots of red, white, and black before, so I don't really know why this eluded me. I guess I should start thinking a little simpler when it comes to outfits.

Have a great weekend!
