I love an easy, comfortable summer outfit. Let's be real, who wants to fuss with clothing in the heat? The last time I wore this top, I paired it with wide leg pants. This time I paired it with this chambray pull on skirt (red version here). This is such a comfy skirt. I should have worn it more this summer. Maybe I could pair it with a plaid shirt and booties for fall. What do you think?

All of these pieces are old. There is nothing new for you to shop, but as one of you commented yesterday, if you have good pieces, you have a good wardrobe and can mix them up.  There is no need for new items all the time. This skirt has been mixed over and over and over again. Another great skirt like that from JCrew Factory would be this one.  I am in love. I had a leopard print skirt but um... it didn't fit anymore so I sold it. I  would love to have this one but I'm trying to watch my budget. I just ordered a couple of tops from JCrew Factory and just before that the necklaces I've been wearing. I tend to go through phases where nothing at a retailer interests me for a while, and then, suddenly, I'm in love with everything.

I'm sure I've posted something very similar to this on the blog before, so if you recognize it as a repeat, my apologies.  While I do like to show you new ways to wear items, the truth is, I repeat outfits or similar versions all the time. It's life. It is getting out the door on time. I love this jacket and I've worn it a multitude of ways.

Camel trousers for the summer

I typically think of camel as a color for fall and winter, yet I wear my camel trousers year round. They are a perfect neutral to pair with summer brights like this cobalt blazer and patterned top. I don't mean to overload you with this necklace, but once I received it, it fell into heavy rotation.

 

Do you ever feel like your days just become repeats? Get up, work out, work, grocery store, home, blog, dinner, dishes, bed. That's what I anticipate today will be like. If something goes wrong, I will regret being bored with the daily routine, but sometimes it becomes monotonous. Do you ever break up your routine during the week? There is always a sale going on, right? There are certainly a few right now that are worth looking at, especially if you are into the "summer to fall transitions" right now. Ya'll I'm having a hard time with that. It is so blooming hot right now that I just can't think about fall, sweaters, jeans, or scarves. I tried on some things in Old Navy yesterday and sweated profusely the entire time. I also don't want to push fall purchases on you right now because there will be more latest and greatest out by the time you can wear them. Nonetheless, it's something to think about, so I've rounded up some under $50 finds with an eye towards wearing now and in the fall.

Banana Republic is having 40% off all sale, so that layered top will be even less than the price above. It can be worn now or under a cardigan or moto jacket later.

Old Navy is having a good in store sale and 30% off online right now (ends today). I tried on the Rockstar jeans yesterday in the olive color and will be wearing them around the house some to see if I keep or return them. The long open cardigan is a great option if you missed the BP cardigans during the Nsale.

Loft is currently having a 50% off sale items sale. Now is a great time to get some great end of summer deals on shorts. Wear them into fall with a loose sweater or denim jacket. Loft has their modest 6 in length Riviera shorts available for $19.99 with extra 50% off at checkout. $10 for shorts- yes please! Hurry though, there are limited sizes and colors. Grab a cardigan for the cooler evenings too.
