I have always worn this blouse tied into a bow, but I saw the Nordstrom scarf tie blouse styled with the ties hanging down and a light bulb came on in my head. I could wear this blouse that way. Now why didn't I think of that?

I also want to rant a bit. I'll admit I'm a bit impatient and like to get right to the point. Lately I've noticed some of the bloggers I follow filling their posts with 8 or 9 or more photos. It seems like it takes forever to get to the details. I think that's too many photos. Your dress, outfit, whatever doesn't look any different in photo 8 than it did in photo 1. If you are doing detail shots of accessories or little details, then okay, maybe 5 photos. Eight or nine just seems as if you like yourself a little too much. What are your thoughts?

Yesterday I showed you an outfit worn on the same date as this one. I wore the other one out that evening and this outfit to work. I've been trying to spice up work attire without going overboard and have decided that a fun accessory like this pink belt is the trick.  A fun print like snakeskin also helps.

Brights with camo

I'll have to admit that a camo skirt left me a little stumped on how to style it beyond black and chambray. But with a little pinterest inspiration, I've come up with a few more ways. One is to pair it with a bright colored top. I've been a little stuck on blue this summer, so I went with the cobalt knot tee. I've been so drawn to blue, I've even been wearing blue polish on my toes for a couple of weeks. You'd be surprised how well it goes with summer colors.

How is it August already? I still have a week's worth of outfits from July to share. Oh well, I'm a bit behind. What's new about that?

I've been wanting to wear my print jogger pants in a dressier outfit since last year, but I needed the perfect top. I added this top during the spring, so for my birthday dinner out ( a week and a half ago), I paired these pieces and added a little wedge sandal. Done. Dressed up joggers.

I've previously worn these pants with sneakers and casual sandals in a  more sporty chic look:

Cobalt and green work attire

A cobalt blazer is a must have. If you are looking for something with a little more interest than a standard navy blazer and still want to fit into a conservation work environment, the cobalt blazer is the perfect option. I have worn this one multiple times and reach for it over and over again. The color has remained popular season to season, and I have a feeling it's going to get paired with olive this fall.  Another fun option for your work attire is a green pencil skirt. You don't have to go all out in color. Pair it with a white button up and more neutral blazer, or leave the blazer off and go with leopard accessories, as shown here.

This combination should have been obvious but it took me a while to realize this blouse goes perfectly with the skirt. Oh how I love remixing my closet.

Have a great weekend!

Let me just get right to the point and tell you about my awful experience with Shein. It was Sheinside at the time of my purchase so I hope lots of things changed with the name. I ordered this skirt back in March. It took me a few months to get around to wearing it. Maybe I've been holding my grudge against the skirt. Anyway,  I see lots of bloggers posting Sheinside products with good reviews,  so I thought I'd give them a try. I'm not part of their affiliate or blogger program and I have to question those who are after this experience. I ordered two skirts and a blazer. I thought the other skirt was too long and full for me and the blazer just didn't quite fit. The policy on the website says "free returns" so I put in a ticket for my return label. Imagine my surprise when I got a response that indicated I would be paying for return shipping. Um NO that's not what the site says.
So, I get a label and mail the items back to them. OVER A MONTH LATER, I am emailing to point out that tracking shows they have had  the items back for over a month and they still have not refunded me. That is poor customer service and I will likely not do business with them again.

I got lots of compliments on this skirt and outfit, but if you take a close look, the quality is poor. The stitching in the hem in crooked and backstitched in many places. Looks like some of my own sewing. I paid someone else for this. Although, I didn't really pay much so truth to the old saying "You get what you pay for."

How to peel a banana

I have not worn this blouse in a long time. I remember that I thought I just had to have a mint blouse. I even replaced one with this one for a more comfortable fit, but then the infatuation with mint wore off and I just don't wear it much anymore. I decided to try and change up the combo with the tan shoes and belt.

Did you know that there is a right way and a wrong way to peel a banana? I've always peeled it by the stem but according to The Crazy Russian Hacker you should start at the bottom. Who knew?
I know that has nothing to do with this outfit. It's just some crazy trivia I recently learned and thought I'd share.
