This is just really a jeans and tee outfit. But there's something about adding a scarf and fun shoes that makes you feel cute. My inspiration for this comes once again from Bridgette Raes.  This post on how to wear Keds reminded me of my striped tee, anchor scarf, and red shoes. I've worn the shoes and scarf together before but I had not thought about pairing them with this tee.

 

I know it looks a little summery but it's still warm in places and I was visiting the Cape Henry lighthouse when I wore this, so the nautical approach seemed appropriate and I was glad for the weather to allow me to wear this. And as is typical, just a few days later the temps dropped, so you'll be seeing tall boot outfits soon.  The cooler temps are supposed to hold out for about three days, then we'll be back in the 80s.

The hubby and I just spent an amazing week relaxing in Virginia Beach, VA celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary. We slept in, took our dog for walks on the beach, and took in the sights. Now it's back to the grind this week, and it's going to be a busy one work wise.

 

This is an outfit I wore to work a couple of weeks ago. Nothing special, but I do love navy with camel. With the pop of red, it's a fall version of red, white and blue.

Chambray shirt-must have basic. Black jeans- another must have basic. Put them together with a white tank and you have a super simple but chic outfit. Add accessories as you please and you can create a multitude of looks. Sporty chic? add a beanie and converse sneakers. City chic? Add pumps and clutch.  I went with leopard flats and a fringe bag for a casual fall look.

 

One more thing- I love Loft jeans. I have these in a dark wash blue, white and now black. They have the perfect amount of stretch and are super comfortable. Wait for a 50% off sale and they are also super affordable.

Orange you glad... it's fall? it's almost Friday? Cheesy title, I know. I sometimes struggle to come up with a catchy title or really anything to say. I have been told by a reader that they like my blog because I don't ramble about a lot of unrelated things and get right to the outfit details. So I guess it's a good thing I don't always have a lot to say.

 

I got this cardigan a couple of years ago and love to wear it each fall. I've paired it with black and polka dots before and with navy. This is a first with grey and leopard, and I love this combination.

After sharing a couple of  more casual looks the past two days, it's back to business today. You've seen this suit many times before, but the blouse is a new addition to my closet via the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Most anything pairs well with this suit, but I love this blouse with it for this time of year. A cluster pearl necklace or a chunky pearl necklace is a great accessory to have to for business or casual. They polish up any look.
