Blues and greens

Blazer, pants- Sears; shirt- JCPenney's; necklace and shoes- Target
Worn: March 27, 2012

Navy goes with so many other colors. This time I paired it with a teal shirt and layered a turquoise and blue necklace over the ruffles. I also wore a brown belt and shoes- normally I would have went with black.

Here are some more fun blue/green accessories:

Oh glorious day

Shirt- Kenneth Cole reaction (TJMaxx);
skirt- JCPenney; shoes- Target;
necklace and earrings- Target
bracelet- Rue 21
Worn: April 1, 2012

My title has nothing to do with this outfit. It has more to do with the fact that we had beautiful weather yesterday. It's been unusually moderate for the South this past week and I love it.

Here's a look at this skirt worn in the fall as business attire, compared to the more casual spring look.

Little red riding hood

Blazer- Belk's; top- ? (old);
pants- JCPenney; shoes- Target;
necklace- Target
Worn: March 26, 2012

When I was trying to come up with a post title, the song "Little Red Riding Hood" (the Meteors) popped in my head. I'm sure the big bad wolf doesn't want me.

Taking a look back at this blazer worn in December vs March:

Coming up roses

shirt- TJMaxx; skirt- Belk;
shoes- Target; necklace- Made by me
Worn: March 25, 2012

Black and white with a pop of color! Polka dots! Some of my favorite things.

 The necklace is made from a jersey material and the shirt has chiffon rosettes. The shirt was a purchase but just as easily could be a DIY.

Lime and a fork

Blazer- Tuesday Morning; pants- JCPenney;
shoes- Payless
Worn: March 21, 2012

I am wearing a very bright lime jacket I picked up at Tuesday Morning for $10. I love it. I'm also wearing a necklace made from a fork. Yep, a fork. I've had it for  years and I don't have the artist information in front of me, but I purchased it at a booth in a mall. I guess you could say it was a predecessor to today's statement necklace. I like having unique pieces.

What unique pieces do you own? I'd love to hear.

Neutrals and leopard

Suit and sweater- JCPenney
Shoes- DSW
Worn: March 20, 2012

Just a classic neutral outfit of black and beige with a pop of leopard in the shoes and necklace. It was a change for me because I have never worn this sweater with this suit- yay for remixing. Remember I'm the one who used to create outfits as if they were uniforms and once one piece was assigned to an outfit, it didn't get worn any other way. Even though this is a very basic outfit, I've come a long way!

A scarf from a bookstore

Scarf- Books a Million; shirt - JCPenney;
Blazer- Goody's; pants- TJMaxx:
shoes- Payless
Worn. April 9, 2012

Yes, that title is correct. I purchased a scarf from Books-A-Million. Who would have thought you could find such there? I was so happy- it revived my mint blazer that I have had several years. And I was happy again when I saw this color trend already in my closet.
