Olive it
Olive it! I LOVE it! I'm glad to see olive is on trend this fall. I've recently added an olive satchel and olive jeans to my closet. Here are some more olive picks, $100 or less.
Mod Cloth tunic/ Vans/ Joe's cargo skinny jeans/ JCrew Factory tunic
Steve Madden tote/ Kenneth Cole Reaction tote/ River Island pumps
Of course you can always get your olive on with a military/utility jacket or with this cute cardigan.

Neutrals and leopard
Suit and sweater- JCPenney
Shoes- DSW
Worn: March 20, 2012
Just a classic neutral outfit of black and beige with a pop of leopard in the shoes and necklace. It was a change for me because I have never worn this sweater with this suit- yay for remixing. Remember I'm the one who used to create outfits as if they were uniforms and once one piece was assigned to an outfit, it didn't get worn any other way. Even though this is a very basic outfit, I've come a long way!

Inspired color combo
Sweater, slacks- Old Navy; blouse- Belk's; belt-thrifted
necklace - JCPenney
Worn: March 12, 2012
This color combination was inspired by Sherri at Design to Shine. I love her thrift finds and that she creates outfits you can actually wear to work. That's what you get here from me as well- what I actually wear. I see all kinds of bashing of bloggers who take photos in stuff they supposedly never even wear and maybe return to the store, but for the record- that's not me. This is all about how to work a real life closet. And you've seen these pieces several times before. I just didn't think about putting them together until I saw Sherri in a similar combination.

Take another bow
Cardigan- Belks; blouse- thrifted; pants- JCPenney
shoes- Famous Footwear
Worn: March 5, 2012
I'm making a cheesy play on words here. I'm showing off my thrifted bow blouse again, this time paired with a cardigan and slacks.
Here's a then (Dec.) and now (March) comparison.

Winter wrap up
I know some of you had another winter storm of sorts this past week or weekend, but here in South Georgia, winter is pretty much gone. I think spring may be done with too, as the temps hit 90 last week. I'm so far behind on posts now, I thought I'd just combine a few outfits into one and do a little winter wrap up. Here are a few of the last winter outfits I wore.
Top left- Feb. 26, 2012 -sweater vest, knit shirt, and pants- Belk's

Diy fashion- Diy shoe tutorials
I thought it would be fun this week to do a round up of DIY shoe refashions. Color blocking will continue to be popular, so why not color block your own pair?
How about some glitter shoes? Christian Louboutin has some but you can save yourself over $600 and DIY.

Is an entire shoe covered in glitter too much for you? How about just the heels?
Cover a pair in fabric.
See anything that strikes your fancy? Vixenmade also has a round up of shoe diys. Check those out too!
Have a great weekend.
