Casual day

shoes- Payless  option  option
purse- gift option  option

I have a couple of days off work this week, both for random personal things. They just happened to be back to back, so you will be seeing some casual outfits the next couple of days. A button up shirt is another versatile piece. It's been a go to in my work wardrobe, but paired with jeans it's instantly casual.

Here's one of the recent work looks:

Classic

Blouse- JCPenney option option
pants- Limited
belt- Target option
shoes- DSW option  option
worn June 25, 2014

What's more classic than white, camel and leopard? While I usually reserve camel for the fall, I decided a white blouse would make it a summer look. And I ran out of outfit ideas, so going back to basic pieces is a standby.

Pastel plaid

Blouse- Liz Claiborne/ JCPenney
jeans- Levis
purse- Forever21
shoes- Old Navy
earrings- Target option
Worn April 19, 2014

I've mentioned that I'm trying to add more spring like items to my wardrobe. I'd like to have a few more floral pieces and I popped into JCPenney with a $10 coupon in hand. I found a floral shirt and this one. Plaid! and pastel! I fell in love. I wore this to visit family Easter weekend. It was still a little cool out so I paired it with jeans.

Inspired by

                                         Inspiration                          My version

Shirt- JCrew factory; sweater- JCPenney similar
pants- TJMaxx similar; booties- Sears similar
necklace- Jane.com
worn Dec. 26, 2013

I have the inspiration photo pinned on my style board (are you following me? Please do)  and it gets pinned over and over again. Apparently lots of people love the look. I don't have a similar skirt and it has been too cold for bare legs, so I opted for pants. I promise the sweater is a closer match in color than the photos show- the lighting in here is throwing it off.

Red, white and blue

Shirt- JCrew Factory; skirt- Forever 21 (similar)
shoes- TJMaxx
necklace- Sears
Worn Oct. 20, 2013

I know it's fall and this is a rather summery look, but it doesn't quite feel like fall yet. Maybe tomorrow when I wake up it will be in the 40s like they predict and we will think it's fall until lunch time when it will probably be back in the high 70s and 80s. No one around here is really thinking fall so I went ahead and wore my creation of this outfit by Shanna. When I saw her post, I immediately knew this was something I could do with these items already in my closet. It just takes a while to get around to wearing all the great outfits because this isn't something I would likely wear to work. I wore it to church.

Classic navy

Blazer- Old; shirt- JCrew factory;
pants- Limited (similar); belt- Target (similar)
shoes- DSW; necklace- JCPenney
Worn Aug. 27, 2013

I think I am going to be wearing this color combination a lot this fall. I am really beginning to like navy and blue with camel or brown. When it gets a little cooler, I plan to pair this shirt with some patterned camel pants I thrifted. For now, I kept this work appropriate with classic pieces and added a little leopard.

Fresh take

Blazer- thrifted; Shirt- Chicos-thrifted
pants- TJMaxx; shoes- Belk
jewelry- Target
Worn Aug. 21, 2013

When I saw Penny Pincher Fashion in her peach blazer and peach stripe shirt, I immediately thought of my pink blazer and pink striped shirt. Funny thing is, I've never thought about wearing them together before now and it's so obvious. I don't have white pants or jeans (couldn't wear the jeans to work anyway) so I paired it with khaki dress pants and some wedge shoes.
