It's rare that I get to wear this many layers around here but it was cold enough for it on this day. I have one recommendation- don't wear a flouncy scarf like this to the thrift store- it will catch on everything!

Black and brown

SO it's been the trend for a while now to mix black and brown, at least with shoes and belts and accessories. I took it to the clothes as well. What do you think?

Just look through my Pinterest board and you'll see that this color combination was one of my favorite for the fall and winter. Can't get enough of it.

Aqua bubble necklace

I bought myself two bubble necklaces last November- this one and a black one. Oddly, I've worn the black one more than this one, but I love the pop of color. Maybe that's a new challenge- to wear this necklace more.

Nothing spectacular here. Probably one of those days I was just grateful to be dressed. You've seen these pieces before. I just mixed in a different blouse than what I'd normally wear with the pants and jacket.

Do you want to know a secret? This dress has a drawstring that ties in the back, and it was a couple of sizes too big. Even after having it altered, it was a little too shapeless for me. So, I belted it and the drawstring is hidden by the belt and the jacket. Now you know my secret.

Not much to say about this outfit except it's a go to on a warm winter day. Sweater says winter, but the short sleeves let me tolerate the heat waves.
