We had a couple of cold days about a week and a half ago. Of course, I took the opportunity to bundle up in a big ol' scarf. I started with my trusty old sweater dress. It makes a debut about once per fall/ winter season. You would think I would run out of ways to wear it, but so far I keep coming up with something a little different each time. You can see how I've worn it before HERE, HERE, and HERE.  This time I added a blazer and scarf to the ensemble. I think the blazer and heeled boots make this a little more dressy, but it was still cozy.  A small stud earring is my choice of jewelry when I'm wearing a big scarf like this.

I'm favoring pink a lot lately. I don't know if I'm returning to my childhood ways (my bedroom was Pepto Bismol pink as a kid) or if it's all the Valentine's stuff on display, but pink has my eye. This pink tweed blazer has my eye too, along with these bright blue earrings. Not to be worn together, but don't tempt me- I might. See my other current crushes in the side bar.

My sweater dress seems to make at least one appearance every fall or winter season. I always seem to find a new way to wear it. I've worn it with a blanket scarf (seen here), tall boots, my fur vest (seen here) and with a statement necklace. Now I'm pairing it with my denim jacket, booties and felt hat. I used to think a piece like this was too plain and limiting but now I'd recommend such a piece. It's easy dressing (just one piece to pull over your head) and then you can layer as much or little as you would like.

I also recently scooped up the Urban Decay Naked on the Run set on sale at Ulta. I got to use a coupon so I got this set for $24. A great deal to try out shadows, liner, bronzer, mascara, blush, and gloss. I've never used their products- sorry, I'm a cheapie drug store make up user, but I do like these and see the value in this set. You can still get a great deal on it and it would make a great gift for someone. My whole look above was done with the palette.

I'm not sure what to say except I'm so glad it's Friday! What a long week. Holiday buzz is in full swing. I arrived home yesterday to a stack of packages almost as high as the entryway trees at my door. Now someone has to wrap all that stuff.

Let's talk for a minute about a different wrap, or the blanket scarf. I love this one. It's so cozy. I purchased another one earlier in the season but have not had the opportunity to wear it yet. This one has been worn twice now.

Fur vest and sweater dress

I'm so glad I picked up this vest on clearance a couple of years ago. I was afraid this trend wouldn't last but for $15 I decided to try it out. Needless, to say, I've gotten my $15 dollars out of it. I'm also glad I decided to wear it with this dress. This dress makes an appearance a couple of times each fall with either a scarf or different accessories but sometimes I struggle to make a piece like this into "a different outfit". The vest was the trick this time.

Sweater dress

Not much to say about this outfit except it's a go to on a warm winter day. Sweater says winter, but the short sleeves let me tolerate the heat waves.
