For most of this week, I've gone with titles that reflect the color combinations I'm wearing, so here we go again- blush and grey. I'm not a clever writer, so I just go with what works. And this color combination works not just for a title but for a great soft hued outfit. I was inspired again by a Bridgette Raes post to pair these colors, particularly to pair the shoes with this. These marsala colored shoes are one of my go to pairs for fall and winter.

I have a few colored pencil skirts in my collection, and I highly recommend you add one or two, especially if you have to dress for a professional business environment. There would be nothing wrong with wearing this top and cardigan with a black pencil skirt or a grey one, but it would be kind of flat and boring. A pop of color adds a little interest and still keeps it work appropriate.

 

I've also added this pair of wedge pumps to my closet. They are replacing my regular pointed toe pumps that have seen too much wear. I've considered the wedge pump before but haven't found the right pair until now. I tend to have decent luck with Franco Sarto, especially at TJMaxx . Sometimes boots in this brand fail me as far as fit, but other shoes seem to fit well and be comfortable for me.

I've worn this blazer/pants combo before with blue, but not with blue pinstripes. I can't remember adding this necklace to these pieces before but blue and coral are a fun combination in small does, so this makes my old faithful basics seem fresh.  Sometimes I think I just can't get any more out of my closet, and at other times, the options seem endless. I love it when the later is going on.

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. It's back to work today. And I dread it. It's always hard to change gears and get back into the work routine after being off several days.

 

I have a love/hate relationship with the color red. But it plays well with leopard and I like this particular shade of red in this blazer, so why not pair the two?
