Here is to hoping that I stay well today. The hubby has picked up a stomach virus and was sick all afternoon yesterday.

I loved how this outfit turned out. I took three separate pieces and blended them into one outfit. I saw a friend in Belk the day I wore this and she commented on how well I "mixed and matched" clothing. Nothing in this really matches but it works. If you are tempted to wear black pants with an outfit like this, I recommend you substitute grey and see how you like it.

Super quick post because I'm running late. I had an awesome but busy weekend.
I have always worn this skirt in a super casual way before and never thought of wearing it with heels or "dressed up." Inspiration came from Megan's Moda. I reversed the striped piece and went with a striped tee and solid maxi skirt. I loved the result. I didn't wear the floppy straw hat but tried it on for kicks while taking pictures.

Here are two other casual ways I've worn this skirt:

I have worn my white jeans way more this spring and summer than I have shared on the blog. They are just such an easy go to, and the options for outfits are endless. I wanted to put together a light cool outfit for a  Saturday morning meeting but still have a little color. Long pants were more appropriate than shorts for this meeting but it's still so hot. This tee and scarf did the trick with the jeans.

Super quick post this morning. I've been out of town for work for three days and got home at 9:00 pm last night. My routine will be a little off today because my stuff is still in a suitcase and nothing is prepped for today.

I love the sleeveless trench for warmer days when it's too hot for a blazer. My work often requires a concealment garment and the trench is working well for that. I paired an older Loft top with trousers from this year. That's a plus of repeat shopping with a favorite retailer. There items tend to pair well together even from different seasons.

I'm looking forward to fall but still enjoying summer styles, thus wearing as much white as I can while it's still summer. I bought this skirt last year and only wore it once. I'm debating on whether or not to keep it or sell/donate it. If feels a little short. It also wrinkles horribly. I did wear skimmies with it this time and the length didn't bother me so much. Yet, I'm still not sure this is the most flattering cut for me.
