I searched and searched for a mustard cardigan for almost two years. I love that color for fall. Everytime I would find the right shade, it would be sold out. I finally scored one from Tilly's and wore it for the first time with navy.

We had a low key, casual, stay-home Christmas this year, so this is about as dressed up for the holiday as I got. I wore this to church the Sunday before Christmas.

 

I would have not thought to wear gold and grey together had I not noticed this scarf in my closet. It was a gift several Christmases ago. The earrings were an early gift this year, as we celebrated with family the day before. Thankfully, the weather cooled off, so I was able to wear this sweater that I thrifted last year. It has gold shimmer in it, just like the scarf, so I pulled this all together.

I had to shop no further than my closet to find a piece in this season's hottest color- oxblood (or wine or burgundy or whatever you call it). I paired it with this suit you've seen many times before.

 

I think the suit let's the color pop. Just what a color like this should do.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas. If you're still celebrating and relaxing, good for you. It's back to work for me.

As I post this, it is 70 degrees. I won't be wearing anything like the above outfit today. At least we have intermittent spurts of cold weather that lets me wear my scarves.
