My mint patterned blouse has grey in it, so I mixed it with grey. Well, that was a no brainer. It also has olive and blue in it and has been mixed with those colors, but that's trickier.

The pattern in this dress reminds me of vines. You can't see too well in these pictures, but it's white and khaki on black. This is a super comfortable knit dress that still looks dressy even though it is knit. It's another one of my favorite summer pieces.

A true summer outfit. I bought these shorts thinking of a black gingham shirt, but I ended up wearing them with this old denim shirt. So glad I got to revive this shirt.

This is another bright look for work. I've worn this blazer with navy before and tried it with camel this time. I try to stay away from wearing it with black, so I won't become the great pumpkin. Nonetheless, it's fun to wear.

This is a really old dress. I mean, 10+ years old. I can't even really remember when it was purchased. I still wear it because it's comfortable and easy to wear when you don't won't to think about planning an outfit. At least florals were "in" this season. And the sandals are new. 

Do you have pieces like that in your closet? Or do you rotate them out more often?

Here's the second take on the skirt I scooped up on clearance after seeing it in a magazine. This time I'm paring it with blue.

Nothing special about this outfit- it's a tshirt and shorts. But, it's so much cuter with the No Plain T's felt brooch. I have loved this accessory since the day it arrived. It's so easy to dress up a shirt or cardigan. Then "nothing special" becomes "not so plain."
