I'm not sure why I waited to style this top until now. It was an Nsale purchase and I guess in my mind I thought I had to wait until closer to fall. I love the fall print and colors in this, but it's still not quite time/ cool enough to pull out the olive jeans or burgundy jeans and the sweater vest. You bet when it is, I'll be wearing this top with those items. For now, I'm relying on my trusty boyfriend shorts and rose gold sandals. You've seen these pieces on major repeat this summer. I'm not sorry either. If you learn one thing from me, it's how to mix and remix and wear the same items.

Who is also itching to decorate their home for fall? I used to love to decorate each season and holiday, but this past year I put out some neutral items and pretty much left them there all year. I just don't seem to have time for it. Check out five ways to decorate for fall  here, using faux pumpkins, lanterns,  and vases.

A little more white

White linen blazer- Calvin Klein via Belk
cowl neck top- Banana Republic (old)  option  option
skirt- Nordstrom on sale  option
shoes- Payless  option
necklace- online boutique  option

I will definitely be wearing white after Labor Day, but maybe not this blazer. I wore this outfit to work last week. This is a linen blazer, so I may retire it for the season once the calendar says fall, but I will continue to wear my heavier weight white blazer and white jeans. (This blazer is vanilla, not bright white, so it's a good choice for year round wear.)

While red, white and blue is definitely a summer color combo, I find it to be neutral enough to wear year round.  I'm pairing my blazer with my red skirt purchased during the Nsale. (FYi, it's on sale for cheaper than the Nsale price. I'm beginning to think  either I suck at Nsale shopping or it's the sale is a rip off. This is the second piece this has happened with.)  You've already seen one outfit with it here. This is definitely going to be a year round piece for me. It will pair nicely with a sweater and boots this winter.

A little more summer

Shirt- TJMaxx  option
skirt- JCPenney  option  option
shoes- TJMaxx  option  option  option
earrings- Jane.com  option  option

Some people treat Labor Day as the official end of summer. My calendar and the temperature still says summer, so you will still get a few summer looks from me. I am beginning to turn the color palette to fall, but today I'm sharing an outfit I wore about a week ago. I had a waitress in a restaurant just raving over this outfit and she wanted to recreate it for her date that night. My husband made a return trip to the salad bar and informed me that the waitress was still discussing my outfit and had other staff discussing it and fashion as well. LOL You never know who you will have an impact on.

If you are ready to turn to fall clothing, then you can still use this formula for a fall outfit. Tie up a darker gingham shirt with a denim pencil skirt and booties or a chambray with a fall color pencil skirt and some darker shooties or leopard pumps.

If you are blessed to have the day off, enjoy!

Happy long weekend! Here are my Labor Day weekend sale picks, all with a look to the upcoming fall season. Macy's is offering up to and extra 20% off with code SUPER. I am in love with those two piece oxfords. They are going on my wish list. How cute would they be with a pair of boyfriend jeans, a white tee, and that faux leather moto jacket? Take another 20% off the jacket at Lord and Taylor with code LABORDAY.

Loft is having a buy one, get one 50% off sale on some items, extra 50% off sale items and my favorite jeans are at one of their lowest price points, no code needed. I scooped up this cute scarf yesterday for $7 and some change.

JCrew factory is having a 50% off sale. I jumped the gun and ordered the sleeveless sweater a couple of weeks ago at 40% off and I'm keeping it. It's soft with a nice structured fit. Not too sloppy or slouchy. The skirt is on it's way to me now because I outgrew (lol) my other leopard print skirt.

Happy Shopping! Let me know what deals you find!

Thanks for sticking with me through all the hair complaining. I went back to my stylist last Friday and told her I just couldn't style the other cut daily. You can see I went back to short hair. It's pretty much a short layered bob, and we've still got a little work to do on the cut, but it's so much easier than trying to work with those layers at the previous length. It took me 4 minutes to style my hair Monday morning. 4 minutes people! I love it.

I bought this blouse during the Nsale. I went for wear now and wear in our 'hot" fall items during the sale.  When it cools down a little more, I'll wear this with olive jeans. I threw this together to wear to lunch with the hubby last Saturday. Blush works equally well with olive or grey. (BTW, it's on sale now for a lower price than it was during the Nsale- I guess I should have waited.)
