A little while ago I mentioned that you need a navy striped top in your closet. Here is the proof: 7 ways I've worn this top. And I could certainly keep going.

5 Ways to Wear a Sweatshirt Dress

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. I receive commission for clicks and purchases made through them.

I've done a lot of "ways to wear it" posts this week. ICYMI, there was the polka dot top winter to spring, three ways to wear a ruffle hem top winter to spring, four ways to wear a faux fur stole and now 5 ways to wear a sweatshirt dress.

Work to weekend- shooties

Happy Wednesday! Today I'm sharing how I've worn a pair of shoes for both work and weekends. I typically don't wear the same shoes to work that I wear on the weekends. We are not allowed to wear open toe shoes (some peep toes are allowed) or sandals of any kind to work, so that limits me to pumps, dress flats and maybe dressy booties in the winter. I'm not a  "pumps with jeans" kind of girl and during the summer, I'm putting my sandals and open toe shoes to use on the weekends and giving the pumps a break.

Four ways to wear a print dress

I love it when a piece can multitask and be worn more than one way. Even better is when you can dress it up or down for various situations. I snagged this Loft dress earlier this summer and it fits the bill for one that can be worn a variety of ways. Below are four ways to wear it. It's also red, which is the Pantone color of the fall season, so I'll be rocking it into fall with a denim jacket, or maybe a cardigan.

5 ways to wear bright shorts

Even though some of you are looking for fall, we still have some summer left here. It's been particularly hot this week. If you are still looking for ways to get through the last dog days of summer, here are five ways to style bright color shorts.

Top 10 of 2015

Where did another year go? I can't believe we are closing out 2015. I celebrated some ten year milestones this year- ten years on the current job (twenty total in the career) and a ten year wedding anniversary. It was also a difficult year. We launched a photography business that is still in the growing phase (don't judge our work by blog photos- these are all self portraits with a timer). I won't speak publicly of some of the other trials but I'm hopeful next year will be better.

So, what are your goals for next year? Do you have any fashion or blog related goals? I'm still considering a capsule wardrobe idea, or at least pairing down so I'll have a more organized closet. That really comes down to getting rid of stuff and only keeping what I love and what will fit in the space I have for a closet. Ever notice how all those pretty pictures of neatly organized closets don't really contain that many clothes, or like only 9 pairs of shoes? Um, yeah, okay. Let's be real.

I'll close out this year (and this rambling) with a count down of the top ten posts (by number of views). I don't really consider these my favorite outfits of the year, but they got the most views. Thanks for visiting, commenting, and sharing my posts on your blogs. I wouldn't do this if it were not for all of you sweet people. Happy New Year!

One top- four ways

I'm a little late with my post for One piece Many ways but as soon as Audrey announced it I knew I wanted to participate. Since starting this little blog, I've mixed and remixed and remixed. That's one of the reasons I started this. My outfits before were boring little "uniforms" of one suit with one shirt for work and rarely worn any other way. Remixing back then was maybe wearing a different shirt with a suit. BORING!

I don't buy lots of clothes by some standards (but I'll admit my closet is overflowing) so remixing is critical to me not getting bored with my attire.

Here's how I've worn a striped sweater from Forever 21 (similar here).

Here a closer look at each outfit with links to the details:
