I debated about the graphic/ animal sweater trend and whether or not I was too old for it, but when I saw that Target had a bird sweater on sale and I had a coupon to get it for $12.50, inner child won the debate. I think a bird is mature enough print to pull off.  I love that it's in my favorite fall color as well. I wore this to our early Thanksgiving gathering on Saturday. This outfit by Bold Subtlety inspired my outfit. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had similar top pieces, and I could probably also find a similar skirt in my closet, but I first thought of the pants. And pants are more practical some days at work.

 

 

This is the great thing about inspiration. You don't have to totally recreate an outfit you like. Use it to put together pieces you already have.
