Sleeveless blazer or vest?

Sleeveless blazer- Forever 21 option splurge
shirt- JCPenney similar
skirt- JCPenney similar
shoes- Payless option option
worn July 13, 2014

Which do you classify it as? Sleeveless blazer or vest? Either one works for me, but I picture a sleeveless blazer as a dressier item than some vests may be. Ironically, the look I love most for this garment I'm wearing with this outfit is a casual look with a tank and jeans. Too bad I can't wear that to work.

Red and black

Cardigan- Belk (similar); shirt- Dressbarn (similar);
pants- Gap (similar)
shoes- JCPenney
necklace- Apple of My Eye- via Groopdealz
worn- Oct. 11, 2013

This outfit by Bold Subtlety inspired my outfit. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had similar top pieces, and I could probably also find a similar skirt in my closet, but I first thought of the pants. And pants are more practical some days at work.

This is the great thing about inspiration. You don't have to totally recreate an outfit you like. Use it to put together pieces you already have.

High/ low

Blouse- TJMaxx; Jeans- Old Navy;
shoes- Payless; necklace- JCPenney
Worn: May 23, 2012 (evening)

The blouse from Tuesday's outfit is a high/ low blouse. I paired it with jeans to dress down after work. This blouse has turned out to be comfortable and quite versatile.

Had to have it

Shirt- Jones New York via Amazon; skirt- The Limited;
Shoes- TJMaxx; Belt-??; earrings - made by me
Worn April 22, 2012

I saw this shirt in an issue of People Style Watch and fell in love. It was paired with cobalt skinnys and a tuxedo jacket. I can almost recreate the outfit with my cobalt capris, but I was also thrilled that it went with this skirt too.

Bubbles

Suit- JCPenny (Worthington seperates)
Blouse- JCPenney
shoes- Mudd
bracelets- Belk's

My shirt looks like it has bubbles on it. That had not occurred to me until just now. Funny the things you notice when you start blogging about your clothes. And yes, you've seen this suit before, but it really does go with most any shirt.
