I've always loved a wrap top or dress but could never seem to find a great fit that would allow me to keep it together. Enter the faux wrap. Yes please! This tee is so soft and comfy. I love that it creates some shape but hides bumps and bulges at the same time. I highly recommend everyone have a faux wrap top in their wardrobe. I paired this bright one with patterned shorts. I would have never done this pre-blogging days, but I've learned a few things. I think the shoes and necklace tie it together.

Hope you had a great weekend and that your week is off to a great start! I try and respond to comments here on the blog. I'd love to reply by email but that's not always possible as everyone is not on the same platform, but reply or not, know that I appreciate your input and comments.

I have seen these knot tees on a couple of other bloggers, so I caved and ordered a couple. This tee, along with this maxi skirt, is a close to wearing pajamas as you can get while still looking pulled together. I wore this to church a couple of weeks ago and wore it all day long. So comfortable. I had gotten away from maxis dresses and skirts, but have renewed an interest in this this summer.

I didn't like the way my wide brim straw hat looked with the white dress, but the GYPO summer challenge day 15 called for giving it another try. The outfit formula for that day was a lace top + patterned shorts + floppy hat+ espadrilles.   I went with a floral pattern,  and decided to work on the floppy hat a bit. I like the "floppy" but lady like look better than the straight out wide brim look (do you know what I'm talking about?) so I did some shaping to the hat. Just a little bending here and there. Much better. I think it works better with this outfit overall too. I think a floppy hat would be super cute with a floral romper and wedges, but I've yet to add a romper to my wardrobe. I wore those in the early '90s, so I haven't totally missed out.

Here is another work outfit with the red blazer. Sometimes I get stuck on certain pieces. The shirt and necklace are fairly new, so it's a new look for me. I got a compliment from a store clerk the day I wore this. I'll take them where I can get them, lol.

Sorry for such a quick post, but I've got to run. I've got to take care of some errands.

This is another GYPO Summer Style challenge inspired outfit- graphic tee + white shorts+espadrilles. I may not have realized how well this graphic tee works with these shoes if the challenge prompt had not sent me searching in my closet for a tee that worked with them. It's obvious, but sometimes I over look the obvious. This was just before the Fourth of July so I added the red belt for a little "Americana" look.

I'm so angry right now I'm not sure I'll get through this post. Last night our dog helped herself to a pan of brownies that I left on the counter to cool. My husband was with her when I left the room. He walked out just long enough to brush his teeth, so she helped herself. She is a Belgian malinois and tall enough to stand up and reach the counter. This resulted in an 11:00 p.m. trip to pet ER to have vomiting induced so she didn't die from chocolate poisoning. I love her dearly but she has some anxiety and behavior issues and I'm getting a bait of it. Put this together with the fact that I spend so much time in the kitchen cooking since we eat a whole food, gluten free, mostly paleo diet due to some allergies, and I rarely have time to make the extra treats, I am furious. It goes a little deeper than just "the dog ate the brownies" but you didn't come here for this, so I'll stop and move on.

I sneak this gold trim tee in at work from time to time. It technically doesn't fit dress code, but with a blazer, no one seems to notice. I last wore it with a camel blazer here:

This would be a winter version. With the light colored pants and colorful accessories, this striped tee is  a summer piece again.
