Leopard, burgundy and camel

Blazer- old option option
sweater - Gap option
scarf- TJMaxx similar option
pants- JCPenney
shoes- Payless option option
worn Feb. 27, 2014

I keep reaching for the leopard scarf. I do have other scarves, but this one has been favored this winter.
I'm also beginning to tire of the winter wardrobe, yet I managed to crank out one more new combination from my closet. I really wanted to style the scarf differently, but this was the quickest way to get out the door.

Clothes line outfit

Blazer- Dorothy Perkins option
Blouse- Gap option option option
pants- JCPenney
belt- Target option option
shoes- DSW
Worn Feb. 18, 2014

I know that' a weird title but I put this together because I saw the blouse and jacket hanging on the clothesline together. I've done similar outfits before, but just never thought to put these two pieces together.

Sorry rush, but I'm short on words and time this morning.

Stripes, plaid and leopard

Shirt- Forever21option
Scarf- gift option option
jeans- Levis
shoes- Target option option
Worn Feb. 17, 2014

Last week we had a holiday and the hubby and I ran a few errands. We made a trip to the Goodwill with a few donations. It was just on the verge of being warm, but still a little cool, so it was the perfect opportunity to wear this scarf that I got for Christmas but had not worn yet. I combined a little of three of my favorite things- stripes, plaid and leopard.

Leopard and stripes

Top- Jones New York via TJMaxx similar
pants- Loft
scarf-TJMaxx option
shoes- Target
worn Feb. 16, 2014

I've been on a kick this week with stripes. That's okay- LOVE. them. I bought this shirt last year and I think I only wore it once. I finally got around to wearing it this year. I like it so I'm not sure why it doesn't get much attention. I think maybe because I have labeled it "casual" in my mind, but I could throw a blazer over it and wear it to work. I'll have to remedy that and get more wear out of it.

I was thinking of my mustard crossbody purse when I chose these shoes and then I didn't have time to grab the purse. I've got to plan ahead a little better so I can rotate out the purses more often.

Leopard, black and grey

Jacket- thrifted option; shirt- Sears
pants- Gap; shoes- DSW option
belt- Target
earrings- gift
Worn Dec. 20. 2013
I took a cue from J's Everyday Fashion in creating this outfit in leopard, black and grey stripes. I am wearing dress pants instead of jeans because jeans aren't allowed at work. That's the beauty of "inspiration" outfits- take it and make it your own by switching out pieces.

Leopard and teal

Scarf- TJMaxx; similar similar
Jacket- thrifted similar
pants- JCPenney
Shoes- Mudd -old
Worn Dec. 16, 2013

Merry Christmas! I probably won't post tomorrow because I'll be busy tonight and tomorrow cooking lots of food, snuggling with my hubby and watching Christmas movies. I wish you all the comfort and joy our Saviour brings!

I found this post showing ways to wear a leopard scarf. So glad I did. It gives me one more way to wear my velvet blazer. Clearly I'm going for the second look.

Hot pink and leopard

Blazer- thrifted; similar
scarf- TJMaxx similar similar
blouse/pants- JCPenney
shoes- Ann Klein/ Belk's similar
worn Nov. 13, 2013

I pinned this color combo (hot pink and leopard) a while back and was grateful that we finally had a cold snap that would allow for the wearing of a wool blazer and scarf. I kept the layer underneath light just in case it was too warm in the building at work.

I'm beginning to love leopard with bright colors. What's your favorite leopard combo?

Oxblood bow top

Top- Sears; option; option
Dress- Target (old) option
shoes- DSW similar
Worn November 10, 2013

You can tell by my photos and bare arms and legs that it was not very cold Sunday. I wore this to church. I was glad that I had another warmer day to wear this because I've had this inspiration pinned for over a year. My dress didn't fit too well last year but I can wear it again. I'm also thinking about layering it with boots and tights and a long sleeve blouse just to wear it more. It' s one of those odd items that gets worn once or twice a season and that's it.

Put a bird on it

pants- Loft
necklace- Apple of My Eye via groopdealz- option
shoes- Target
Worn Nov. 9, 2013

I debated about the graphic/ animal sweater trend and whether or not I was too old for it, but when I saw that Target had a bird sweater on sale and I had a coupon to get it for $12.50, inner child won the debate. I think a bird is mature enough print to pull off.  I love that it's in my favorite fall color as well. I wore this to our early Thanksgiving gathering on Saturday. Have you started celebrating Thanksgiving yet?

Utility vest

Shirt- Forever 21 (similar)
Vest (option)
jeans- Levis
shoes- Target (similar)
necklace- Chico's -thrifted

Just a casual outfit I wore for the church youth Halloween party last week. My shirt looks a bit orange in the pics and I guess that's Halloween appropriate, but it's really more red than orange.

Leopard and chambray

shirt- Old Navy;
skirt- Loft
necklace- Groopdealz
Worn Oct. 27, 2013

The essential chambray shirt, or so they say. I've had mine for over a year and only worn it twice. It's not so essential for me. I can't wear it to work, so it's likely not going to get much wear. I am going to try to put it into rotation more on the weekends, but sometimes we don't even go out on the weekend except for church on Sunday. I do like pairing the shirt with this skirt. I stalked this skirt on the Loft site waiting for just the right sale, but didn't want it to get away either, so I finally bit the bullet. I won't regret this purchase.

Cardigan- Gap (similar); shirt- Calvin Klein via Ross;
pants- Limited
belt- Target
necklace- Chico's (thrifted) (option)
shoes- old
Worn Oct. 23, 2013

This time I was inspired by Mix and Match Fashion to combine coral, leopard, and camel. Once again I created my outfit with pants instead of a skirt for work practicality.  This is an outfit I would repeat.

Coral and leopard

Blazer- Forever 21 (similar); blouse- Ross (similar);
pants- JCPenney;
shoes- Payless
Worn Sept 16, 2013

I had a leopard blouse that was uncomfortable to wear so I've replaced it with this one. That was a must. Leopard has quickly become a neutral in my closet, and thanks to pinterest, I want to wear it with every color in the rainbow. I paired it with coral to get a little more wear out of this blazer now that it's fall.

Rust and hot pink

Jacket- thrifted (similar); Blouse- Express- thrifted (similar);
pants- JCPenney; belt- Target
shoes- Franco Sarto thrifted (option)
worn Aug. 29, 2013

I would have never thought to pair rust and hot pink until I saw this in Redbook mag. Since I'm pairing both colors on top, I added dark brown to the mix and a little leopard. I'm happy with how this turned out. New combinations with old pieces are always fun to me.

Below is my favorite detail of this jacket.
