If you are a Kendra Scott fan, scoop up the Kendra Scott jewelry now. The biggest discount I've seen so far during normal KS sales is 20%, so these are deals. I got an Elisa pendant necklace last year and loved it. I still love it. It's the perfect piece of dainty jewelry when you just need a little something at the neckline.
Read Rachelle from Pink Sole's thoughts on shopping the NSale. She points out that Nordstrom has it's trendy fast fashion brands and you can often get similar pieces at other fast fashion retailers for much less. While most of my picks up there fit that fast fashion category, I totally agree with her. I have some things coming that on second thought will probably go right back into the mail for returns, unless I absolutely LOVE it. $50 for a plaid tunic is A LOT when I can probably wait a couple of months and get a similar one for much less. I have ordered one just because they had a plaid tunic I wanted last year and I ordered it in the wrong size and never got a chance to get it on the correct size. It was so soft. I would have worn it all fall and winter (provided mother nature would have cooperated.)
So, if designer jeans and purses are your thing, this is a good time to invest. You don't see any in my picks because they are not my thing. Jeans are not allowed at work, so for now, my Old Navy and Loft jeans get me through the weekends. I do have a pair of NYDJ from last year's sale and I do love the fit. NYDJ jeans have ample leg openings and rise for those of us that require a curvy fit and these are good prices. (I'm about to talk myself into ordering another pair.)
I have a cognac crossbody purse that I love, but I if I didn't, I'd be getting the Sole Society one. That's about my price point for a purse. Call me cheap if you must. And just for a splurge, that BP velvet backpack is sooo cute! What a fun way to add the velvet trend to your fall attire. That velvet blouse up there would be so fun for the holidays too.
Another blogger pointed out that Nordstrom does this test as a sale to see what people will buy for the fall. You will see some things come back. You may have to pay more, but maybe not. I got a BlankNYC moto jacket for Christmas last year. Thanks to our much too warm winter I didn't get to wear it much but it's a great piece and I look forward to wearing it again. If you live in a climate that cooperates, get one now. If you don't, you can likely get a good deal on one again at Black Friday or Christmas sales.
