skirt- Forever 21 - option option
shoes- TJMaxx- option option
necklace- online vendor- option
earrings- Target- option option
Worn June 8, 2014

This outfit was inspired by Stylish Petite. I've said it before, but I love finding outfits that I can recreate with the items in my closet with no shopping involved. I changed up the accessories to make it my own.

I've been away a couple of days because I went on a trip with our church youth group to Atlanta Fest.  Those kids are so much fun. I'm not even going to apologize for being behind. Time spent with them is worth it.

Red shoes

Shirt- old option
jeans- Levis option option
shoes- Forever21
worn June 4, 2014 PM

I have been wanting a pair of red shoes for quite some time. I spotted these online at Forever21 and put them on a wish list and watched closely. I finally gave in and ordered them last month after visiting the store and not finding them there. So far, so good. I've never had shoes from Forever 21 but I'm in love with these.

This outfit was inspired by Shanna. All I really needed when I saw it was the red shoes. I knew my anchor scarf would work perfectly.

A flats day

Blazer- Sears option option
blouse- JCPenney option option
pants- JCPenney option
necklace- gift option
shoes- Ross option option
Worn June 4, 2014

I was inspired by Danielle of Goodwillista to put these pieces together. I think the shoes tie it all together. Even though I don't have cap toe pumps, I have flats, and sometimes, it's just a flat shoes kind of day. This is the same beige blazer in my beige blazer- 4 ways post. It's a such a versatile piece.

How to dress when you are running late

Suit- Sears -option option
blouse- old option option
necklace- Sears option
earrings- Target
shoes- Belk similar
June 3, 2014

When you are running late, reach for classics and solids. Add a statement necklace and you'll be set. I normally pick out my outfit the night before, but I was busy and tired last week, so I didn't. And of course I was running late the next morning, so I reached for this combo, and ... it worked. No matching and not much thought required.

Spring/summer tweed

jacket- Macy's
shirt- Sears option option
pants- Loft
shoes- Banana Republic option
purse- Kenneth Cole Reaction option option
Worn May 31, 2014

I picked up this jacket for less than $25 on clearance at Macy's last month. A perfect addition for spring and summer. As much as I like green, I really don't have much of it in my closet, so this piece is a good addition for that reason also. It has little silver threads in it so I was prompted to pair it with my silver pumps. I also played up the black and white.

Weekend getaway

tank-(old) JCPenney option option splurge
vest-(old) JCPenney option option
skirt- Old Navy option
sandals- Target option option
sunnies- TJMaxx option
purse-Kenneth Cole Reaction via Tuesday Morning option
bracelet- JCPenney
watch- Fossil similar

This is a bit different than what you normally see from me. I wore this outfit on a weekend getaway during which we went to a location just to take pictures and practice up on our photography skills. The hubby took these photos. People photos are not his strongest point and he is not going to spend a lot of time taking "outfit" photos, so I take what I can get. He was more interested in the windows on the building and the texture of the tree. Excuse me, this isn't about a tree. I love him anyway.
