Coral blazer - 4 ways

Hello and Happy Monday. Last year, I invested in a coral blazer. Coral is always a popular spring and summer color, and can be carried into fall with the right pieces. Here are four ways I've worn my coral blazer. (I've got other ways in mind- navy, mint- I'm sure I'll come up with more.)

I love to wear a lady like outfit on Sunday, and this one does it for me. At least it makes me feel ladylike. I wore this to church on Sunday. I purchased this skirt last year on a whim but it's gotten its share of wear.

Mint and floral

blouse- JCPenney option
pants- Belk option
shoes- Lifestride via TJMaxx option option
Worn April 25, 2014

I've been looking to add florals to my wardrobe and found this blouse 50% off at JCPenney. I also had a $10 coupon, so it was a pretty good deal. I still haven't found the "perfect" floral blouse but this one will play well with many other pieces and for the price, I couldn't leave it behind. I'm making it work appropriate with a blazer.

I'm still looking for a floral blazer too. What's on your current wish list?

Conservative and fun

Blouse- JCrew Factory
jacket/pants- Sears option
shoes- Ann Klein/ Belk
Worn April 24, 2014

Conservative and fun? Can the two be found in one thing? Sure! Pair a conservative power suit with a fun polka dot blouse, and you've got both. I've been wearing a navy version of this on repeat for over a year, so I was excited to do this with my black polka dot popover.

In need of a 'do

Jacket- Cato/old option
blouse- Banana Republic option
pants- JCPenney option option
bracelet- JCPenney option
shoes- old option option
worn April 22, 2014

I'm excited that I have an appointment with my stylist today. As you can see from the photos, I am in need of a "hair do". Really, color. (Is "hair do" a southern thing? I more appropriately refer to cut, color, or style, but have heard that term all my life.) The grey is showing along the part. I'm growing my hair out a little and it is even more obvious when I need color now. And I'm not afraid to admit I color my hair. I always have, even before I had grey. And I like to experiment with color. Look at yesterday's remix post and you'll see a variety of color in my hair.

Now on to the outfi- I really like yellow and navy together and I like the way this jacket worked with the color of these pants. Sometimes these pants can be difficult to coordinate, even though they are fairly neutral. I was inspired by this outfit by extrapetite.com.

Red pencil skirt- six ways

                                 1             2            3           4             5             6

A pencil skirt is one of those must have wardrobe items. They flatter everyone and can be worn so many ways. Don't limit yourself to neutrals either. A fun bright pencil skirt can be versatile too. Here are six ways I wear my red pencil skirt.

Pastel plaid

Blouse- Liz Claiborne/ JCPenney
jeans- Levis
purse- Forever21
shoes- Old Navy
earrings- Target option
Worn April 19, 2014

I've mentioned that I'm trying to add more spring like items to my wardrobe. I'd like to have a few more floral pieces and I popped into JCPenney with a $10 coupon in hand. I found a floral shirt and this one. Plaid! and pastel! I fell in love. I wore this to visit family Easter weekend. It was still a little cool out so I paired it with jeans.
