Mint and taupe

Blazer, pants- Loft
blouse- Sears
shoes- Payless

Excuse the photos. It was raining outside and I'm still searching for a good alternative inside. This is not it.

I had not thought of pairing mint and tan or taupe until I saw this at Outfit Posts and immediately knew mint was another option for my taupe suit. I snatched up the mint button up at Sears the minute I saw it because I know it will play well with other items in my wardrobe too. The only problem was that my taupe suit at the time had become too big for me. It was well worn and not worth tailoring so the hunt began for a new one. And then Loft came out with their fall line. And I stalked their site until I got a good deal and ordered this new jacket and pants. It has already been worn three times. Well worth the investment I made.

Mint and navy

Shirt- Forever 21 (similar); skirt-thrifted (option);
shoes- TJMaxx; necklace- Sears
worn Sept 8, 2013

When I first bought this shirt, I ordered it more or less to get free shipping and questioned if I would really wear it much. I've already worn it twice within a month, once casual and like this, a little bit more dressed up. If I just rotate the two looks, I'm happy, but I'm sure I'll come up with something else. And who would have ever thought to buy a statement necklace from Sears?

I took yesterday to rest from a week of traveling and spent most of today getting ready to celebrate the hubby's birthday, so now I'm off to catch up on other things I neglected.

Mixing mint

Cardigan- Old Navy; blouse- JCPenney;
skirt- Sears; shoes- Payless
Worn July 25, 2012

My mint patterned blouse has grey in it, so I mixed it with grey. Well, that was a no brainer. It also has olive and blue in it and has been mixed with those colors, but that's trickier.

Mint to be

Mint green is a popular color for the spring season. I justed couldn't wait and busted out my mint blazer last Friday. I didn't get any pics of the outfit though. That's okay, I will wear it again. For now, here are a few mint accessories:
