I'm doing the very thing I harped about not liking last week. I'm posting lots of photos. In my defense, there's two versions of the outfit. And I've provided a break with text and details, so if you don't want to look past the first three photos, you can stop here. But if you don't, thanks for looking. Above is what I actually wore to church a couple of weeks ago. I think palazzo pants just scream "big floppy hat" but that would be rude to wear the hat in church so I didn't. I just couldn't help playing around and styling this look with the hat too for photos.

Oh and this could be the last time you see these pants. I washed them and put them in the dryer like the instructions said, tumble dry low. I was hoping for a little shrinkage because they were so long, but I got a lot of shrinkage, like, I've got to now cover my booty in these because they are a bit tight, kind of shrinkage.

Shrinkage? is that even a word?

Are you on board with the kimono trend? I ignored it at first, thinking it was too "young" and too impractical for me. I certainly can't wear this to work. Then it showed up on the GYPO Summer Style challenge shopping list and I said "NO." Then I saw the other ladies shopping and posting, so I started looking. Since I'm petite (short) I think a shorter one looks best. I like them if they don't hang much longer than the hem of the bottoms or dress being worn. I found this one online at Forever 21 and decided it would make a nice summer to fall neutral piece. Of course, I also searched out the looks on Pinterest before I fully decided if this is for me on not. I have some other looks pinned that I will be trying out. I also ordered a floral kimono from Jane.com and had to return it  because it was too large and there was no exchange option, so I'm still on the hunt for a floral one now that I've embraced this piece.

This outfit was Day 13 of the challenge- kimono, flowy tank, white shorts, wedges.

I spent a good chunk of my long weekend cleaning out the closet. I've listed several things on Poshmark. If you're interested, check out my Poshmark closet.

Remember the hot pink blazer and 7 ways to wear it?

It's up for grabs HERE.  Make an offer. I consider all offers over $5. Let's be real- I'm left with $2 out of a $5 sale, and that's not enough to buy a box or envelope to ship the item in. I also do bundles and discount the total by 20%.

Here are some pieces that would make a totally chic outfit paired together:

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great week!

I don't normally post on Saturday or this late, but I'm getting a bit behind and I'm about to start the GYPO Summer challenge. I decided to go ahead and do an extra post since I hope to be taking more pictures than normal for the next three weeks. Don't worry, if you follow for the work outfits, and I assume you do unless you happened upon one of my rare posts like this one, I  will still be posting my work wear. I decided to do the challenge to have some easy go to ideas for the weekend. Sometimes, I get stuck when it comes to casual off duty wear.

I based this outfit off one of the 2014 summer formulas- prints shorts, bright tank, fedora, wedges. I substituted my flat sandals for the wedges.
