I'm still pleasantly surprised at how many options I have for this plum skirt. This blouse should have been the first thing that came to mind but it wasn't until I hung it in the closet that I realized this blouse would be the perfect partner for this skirt.

Notice something different? I'm wearing nail polish. I haven't done this in years. I keep my toes nails polished but stopped with my finger nails years ago. I never have time for it or time to wait for it to dry before I'm doing something with my hands. But... I recently became infatuated with grey nails for fall and for the last two weeks I've kept my nails done with this bluish grey color from Revlon. The hubby even thinks this is a pretty color.  (I paint them while I'm watching The Walking Dead on Sunday nights. I dunk them in ice water to set and then go straight to bed after the show. So far, no smudges or dents.)

Pastel floral

Blazer- Ross (old)  option
blouse- Target
pants- Gap
shoes- Belk option
necklace- old  option  option
Worn May 5, 2015

This top from Target has been a work horse in my spring wardrobe. It pairs well with other pastels, brights, and conservative darks and neutrals.

These photos are pretty crappy. I retreated to the back yard because a new neighbor moved in across the street and I just didn't want to take pics in front of the movers and a new audience. By now you would think I wouldn't care who was watching. So... the background is less than appealing and it was breezy again. I'm not complaining too much about the breeze. It makes our climate tolerable.

On Target for Spring

So the post title is a bit cheesy, but if you look through the list, you'll see that two of items came from Target. I'd almost bet you could create this whole outfit from Target items. Anyway, this floral top is perfect for spring. I got lots of compliments on my cardigan/top combo at work last week.

Faux leather tabs

One of my favorite things about this shirt is the faux leather shoulder tabs. Oh and it's rich fall floral pattern. I paired it with a navy pencil skirt this time. Both pieces happened to be from Target, purchased at separate times.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend.

Fall florals

Hey ya'll! I skipped a couple of days because I was on a little vacation with the hubby for our anniversary. I'm picking up where I left off last week and have a couple more outfits to share, but I'll admit there were no outfit photos taken during vacation. When I unplug, I usually unplug from the whole routine. And besides that, we camped for two nights and then spent two nights in a hotel at another destination. All of our activities involved hiking and outdoor stuff, so it was tshirt and shorts the entire time. Yep, shorts. Where did fall go? It was so stinkin hot the entire time. Too hot for camping.

I picked up this blouse last year on clearance so it didn't get much wear, but I'm happy to put it into rotation this year. I wore it with navy last year, but this time, I'm pairing it with black and letting the little leather shoulder patches shine.

I also paired it with red last year:

Pretty in Pink

Blouse- Loft option option
shoes- Ann Klein/Belk option
necklace/earrings- Cato option option option
Worn July 16, 2014

After two days of wearing attire for work that strictly suits function and not fashion at all, I was ready to wear something dressy and ladylike last week. While this isn't the most flattering outfit, it came together quickly and with ease, and I felt good in it all day. Isn't that what matters sometimes? How you feel in something makes a huge difference in how you carry yourself.

Pink poppies

Blazer/pants- JCPenney option
Blouse- Loft option option
shoes- JCPenney
Worn April 30, 2014

When this blouse first hit the Loft site, it went on my wishlist. I finally gave in and purchased it during a sale. It will add a little more variety to my work wardrobe. It's fun but still conservative enough for work.

I've recently added pin it buttons to make it easier for you to pin ideas you like. Just hover over the photos.

Mint and floral

blouse- JCPenney option
pants- Belk option
shoes- Lifestride via TJMaxx option option
Worn April 25, 2014

I've been looking to add florals to my wardrobe and found this blouse 50% off at JCPenney. I also had a $10 coupon, so it was a pretty good deal. I still haven't found the "perfect" floral blouse but this one will play well with many other pieces and for the price, I couldn't leave it behind. I'm making it work appropriate with a blazer.

I'm still looking for a floral blazer too. What's on your current wish list?

Yellow and navy

Jacket- Cato old option    option
blouse- Sears (old) option option option
pants- Limited
shoes- old option option
Worn April 4, 2014

Yellow and navy is a combination I really like. I took some old pieces from my closet and remixed them into an outfit I've never worn using the color combination. This jacket has a matching skirt and typically that's the only way I've worn it, but I'm breaking up their relationship. I've got plans for the skirt too.
