A dressy casual holiday outfit

Today I'm sharing with you what I call a dressy casual outfit. It's got just enough festive touches of lace, velvet and rich red to be perfect for the holidays.

Dressy casual- a step above jeans and tee shirts but still casual and comfortable, easy to move and relax in, not formal. These are the kinds of outfits I like best. I could travel in this and still be comfortable, yet be dressed up enough for my family get togethers.

These pieces could be worn anytime, but the colors and textures scream "holiday" to me. I've had the pants for a year and the top for over two years, but the shoes and necklace are new. I won the shoes from Lifestride in an Instagram giveaway. I could pick any pair from their site and I chose these. It took me a few months to pick. Who knew it would take me that long to pick shoes? They were free, so I wanted to make sure I got it right. I've been wanting a pair of loafer mules and this color seemed perfect for fall and winter, so I finally placed my order a few weeks back. I'm in love.

I'm also in love with the necklace. I saw a similar one on another blogger and then this one in my local Target. I had to have it, so when a 20% off coupon rolled around, I went and got it. It seemed to be the perfect completer piece to this outfit I had floating around in my head.

A lace blouse is really a good investment for year round. See how I wore this blouse in the spring. Get one now for the holidays and change it up for the seasons and occasions with your accessories. I'm swooning over the sleeves on this one.
