Structure

This blazer is one of my favorite thrift store finds. I've worn it so many times, I would have my cost- per-wear out of it had I spent 100s of dollars, yet I paid very little. The price isn't what makes it my favorite though, it's the perfect fit and structure. It always looks polished, never needs ironing, and always holds its shape. Gotta love that.

Hope you had a great weekend. We stayed in this weekend and took care of some household things and caught up on chores.  Sometimes you have to do that.

More Nordstrom Half yearly sale picks

Several of my half yearly sale picks have sold out, so I though I'd create one more round for you. You still have today and tomorrow to shop the Nordstrom half-yearly sale.

The Franco Sarto block heel sandals are calling me. If only I could wear them to work. I've got my eye out for an embroidered top and that one is calling my name too. Throw it on over your swimsuit with your sunnies and hat, and you've got the perfect beach cover up.

What items have you had your eye on?

Happy Shopping.

Still wearing cardigans

Yes, it's beginning to get hot outside and I'm still wearing cardigans. By mid-week, it's freezing in my office, so this extra layer is very welcomed. I pretty much copied this look straight from the Limited's site using their blouse and my own pants and cardigan.

Happy Friday!

Shopping day outfit

Blouse- Ralph Lauren (thrifted)  option  option
jeans- Loft

necklace- online boutique  splurge   option  option

I had a day off last week for an out of town doctor's appointment. I knew I would be dressing and undressing so a casual button up was the way to go. Plus, doctor visits are no fun so I had to reward myself with a little shopping afterwards, and button ups make trying on clothes easier for me. No pulling shirts over the head and worrying about getting make-up on them. Easy slip on ballets flats,  a long necklace that slips easily over the head and comfy jeans complete a shopping outfit. A crossbody bag also makes hands free shopping. My bag isn't pictured because it bit the dust that day. It was promptly replaced with a new saddlebag crossbody (similar to this one in tobacco).

Speaking of shopping, I walked the mall but only made two purchases- these shorts from Loft (still 50% off)  and these (in tearose, they're still on sale too) from JCPenney. You can see these from JCPenney on Instagram now and hopefully I'll be styling the striped ones soon.

A whole mall- and nothing really spoke to me. I guess I'm happy with my current wardrobe or just unwilling to pay full prices. I don't know. Shopping in store didn't do much for me although I have since stalked some store websites for sales on a couple of things that did catch my eye. I just found it odd that I had money saved up and spent less than $50. Maybe it just took that day to get the creative juices flowing.  Hubby and I hit a Tanger outlet last weekend and I had a field day in the Loft outlet. I've also made some Old Navy rewards purchases from the local store, but I think I've come to the conclusion that I like online shopping better than in store. What about you? How do you like to shop?

Heavy rotation

Blazer- Forever 21  option  option
blouse- JCrew Factory  option  option   option
pants- Limited
shoes- TJMaxx  option  option   option

This blazer stays on heavy rotation in my wardrobe. If you don't have a cobalt blazer, I recommend one. You can wear it with any color you wear navy with, but it gives a little more summery feel than navy. You can ever wear it with navy like I did here.

Don't forget that the Nordstrom half yearly sale is still going on for a few more days. Here are a few more picks:
