This jacket is twenty (or more) years old. Shocking isn't it? Do you have anything in your closet that old that you would still wear?

My brother gave me this coat as a gift way back when. I wore it every chance I could, but our warm tropical climate and my lifestyle don't allow for it much anymore. I was in college when I received this, but I don't find it office appropriate now. I put this outfit together to attend JekyllCon with my hubby. While I'm not into comic heros, lots of folks are and many were going in costume. He went as a zombie because a group of friends were going as Walking Dead characters. I just put together a normal outfit with a throwback to many comic and video heros- many of them wear a trench coat or duster.

This wasn't  a Halloween outfit, just worn on October 31.  It was just the first chance I had to wear this scarf. And let me tell you about this scarf. This outfit is pretty much a total knock off of Megan's. I fell in love with the whole outfit when I saw it and promptly pinned it. I also pinned the exact scarf to my wish list board. And then I waited because it was too hot at the time for me to wear a scarf. I decided a couple of weeks ago that it was time to make the purchase and to my dismay, the scarf had SOLD.OUT. Nooooo... So I went on a frantic search and found this one on ebay. I'm pretty sure it's an exact match, there is just no brand tag on this one.

Oh and the hat... I've never been much of a hat person. At least not baseball caps. Even when I had long hair, I didn't like hats. I recently purchased a straw fedora on clearance and wore it on our vacation. The hubby liked it. So I thought I'd give this one a try. The hubby likes this one on me too, so I'll keep it. Never mind that it's one of the most popular items for fall.
