Gingham and vest

Shirt- Ralph Lauren (thrifted) (similar); vest (old-Goody's) (similar) (similar);
jeans- Levis skinny; boots- Belk's (similar) (similar)
worn Nov. 22, 2012

I went to the Goodwill with the hubby and some friends to thrift Halloween costumes last fall. I happened upon this gingham shirt while we were there. The cuffs have a cute stripe detail. This was a fun find, especially since I wasn't even looking for it. Later I was inspired by this pin to pair my shirt with boots and a vest.

Hope you have a great week.

Pinterest inspired

Here's an outfit that I pinned or repinned. You can find the original HERE.

I have a red vest and was originally thinking of working with it, but I have a blue striped infinity scarf and my red vest is reversible to black. The black and blue were not working for me. Then I remembered that I have a lime green vest with navy trim, and the inspiration outfit came together.

Vest- Goody's; shirt- JCPenney;

Faux fur

Shirt- Dress Barn; vest- Belks; skirt- Sear's;
boots- JCPenney; necklace- ??; bracelet- made by me
Worn: February 4, 2012

I don't like to pay a lot for trends that don't stick around but I really wanted a faux fur vest. I was also picky about it- I didn't want one that was really bulky. Solution- faux fur collar sweater vest on clearance at Belk's- $14.99 minus a little more that day. I forget how much the extra discount was- I was happy with $14.99. Now, I just hope this stays popular for another season because we don't have much cold weather left here.
