We ran errands Saturday morning. We got the car serviced and upgraded phones. We haven't upgraded phones in 3-4 years. Why must that take 2 hours even when you are at the door when they open?

The weather was cool during the morning so I took the opportunity to wear this poncho I received as a Christmas gift. I now have three ponchos- a red one, camel, and a grey one, and I don't have near enough opportunities to wear them. I think my go to for styling a poncho is jeans and boots. How do you wear them?

I wore this Christmas day to spend time with our families. I thought it was high time my vest got some wear for the year. Of course I had to sport the fedora and bracelet. They were Christmas gifts from the hubby. He sure knows how to fill a girl's wish list.

This jacket is twenty (or more) years old. Shocking isn't it? Do you have anything in your closet that old that you would still wear?

My brother gave me this coat as a gift way back when. I wore it every chance I could, but our warm tropical climate and my lifestyle don't allow for it much anymore. I was in college when I received this, but I don't find it office appropriate now. I put this outfit together to attend JekyllCon with my hubby. While I'm not into comic heros, lots of folks are and many were going in costume. He went as a zombie because a group of friends were going as Walking Dead characters. I just put together a normal outfit with a throwback to many comic and video heros- many of them wear a trench coat or duster.

Elbow patches

I love it when I can try a trend without spending a lot. Such is the case with this elbow patch shirt. Elbow patches seem to be popular this fall, so when I found this shirt on clearance at Target, I scooped it up. The fact that it is plaid made the decision even easier.

My go to casual shoes this fall have been my riding boots. They are quite comfortable and work with jeans, leggings and skirts. Do you have a pair? A brown pair is on my wish list.

This is one of my favorite "go-to" outfits when it's cold- jeans, riding boots, sweater, button-up. I went with a light flannel button up for some pattern interest. It was actually cool enough Saturday for heavier layers but I knew most of my time would probably be spent indoors and I didn't want to roast indoors. We had Thanksgiving with the in-laws. Both sets of parents tend to crank up the heat when it gets a little cold, so there is no way to dress for the season and be comfortable inside too.

When camo first came on the fashion scene, I said I would not wear it as a fashion item. Camo was for rednecks and deer hunters in my home town. Well, a sweet deal on a subdued grey camo skirt from Loft change my mind. I happened to be in one of their stores last month and it was on clearance with 40% off that- total= $16. So now I'm wearing camoflauge. Who knows? you may see me in my old green camo tee.
