Welcome to 9 to 5 Style! The third Monday of every month Jennie of A Pocketful of Polka Dots and I will showcase a theme featuring our individual takes on a professional look. Our aim is to inspire and show professional style does not have to mean boring and without personality. We hope you enjoy our 9 to 5 Style!
This month I chose the Pantone Color of the Year Ultra Violet as our theme. I won't say it's my absolute favorite color, as I can take it or leave it, but I thought you might like to see some ways to wear it in your work wear as the color of the year always seems to receive lots of hype.
I recently picked up this blouse from JCPenney on clearance. It's a nice popover tunic style blouse that I can take from work to weekend easily. It will look great with jeans, especially white jeans, but works for office attire too. (It seems to only be available now in a tall size in a print.)

necklace- Kohls option
Ultra violet pairs nicely with a variety of colors from other muted pinks and purples to brights, like the tones in my necklace.
Make sure you check out Jennie's post too. Doesn't this color compliment her new hair?
