Christmas Home Tour

Many of the bloggers I follow are taking time off now through next week or the end of the year, so I think I may slow down a bit too on the posts. But before I take my Christmas break, I wanted to share our Christmas home tour with you. It's all very simple compared to some other years but I'm still pleased with the results.

Our nativity is front and center outside. Candles, garland, bows and white lights adorn the door and porch. Not pictured on the porch are some Christmas pillows, a small table tree and a snowman. Come on in.

Our tree is the first thing you see. It's a slim pencil tree and the only one we put up this year. I wanted to do a nativity themed tree so I pulled out all of our ornaments that had nativity scenes or related items. It's mostly red, gold, clear and black with some plaid ribbon.

There is a manger scene on the sofa table. Pardon the dust.

I put my tree together first and then let the colors and patterns dictate the rest of the decor. Hence, a red and gold tablescape in the dining room. The reindeer is thrifted and the sweater trees are a DIY project I did a few years back. I've linked up some similar items below if you want to shop the look.

Our mantel. Yes that's Elf playing. I started to turn it off, but decided to keep it real and capture the essence of what we do around here during Christmas. We play Christmas movies while we work or hang out in the house on the weekends.

Again, very simple. A clear glass nativity is set out there too.

Here are a few ornaments from the tree. I made a few of them with vinyl and my Silhouette machine.

Hope you enjoyed this little tour. Merry Christmas to you and I hope you have a blessed time with family and friends.
