I added this bright print sleeveless top to my work wear earlier this spring. You saw it here with pink and black. It is the perfect compliment to grey as well. In addition to pink, black and grey, it has coral in the mix, so I had to add my coral shoes to this look.
I was inspired to get this top by Classy Yet Trendy's capsule wardrobe books. I have the 2016 Spring Essential work wear book and there is a similar top used in the outfits in the book. I didn't shop any of the pieces when I first bought the book, so I had to wait until this year to find a similar piece. But that's the beauty of those books- they are built on timeless, classic looks with basic pieces. I purchased the Essential Capsule Wardrobe: Spring 2017 and The Work Wear Capsule:Spring 2017 and found so much inspiration. I'm planning on getting the Essential Capsule Wardrobe: Fall 2017, the French Minimalist and the Work Wear Capsule Fall 2017 because I already see tons of pieces that I own and the inspiration for new ways to wear my pieces will be fun. If you are ready to start planning for fall, I recommend you get one of the books.
I went into Target on Friday for three things. Of course, I left with a buggy load, but only two work out tops (on clearance) from the clothing section. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the A New Day line, but I saw lots of things in their old lines that caught my attention. I'm particularly drawn to flowy dresses right now and was on the lookout for a summer maxi dress. Now that summer is ending, I may just have to go with a fall maxi. The print on this one is gorgeous and it is from the new A New Day line. This one also comes in a gorgeous floral print that will work through fall. Target also has a ton of kimonos right now, including the duster kimono for fall. This striped skirt caught my eye, and they also have a ton of cute graphic tees. Target is also big into the statement sleeve game. Now I'm stalking them for a sale or cartwheel coupon!
