More neutrals for fall

One of the easiest ways for me to shift from summer to fall is to shift to neutrals. Even when the calendar says fall, sometimes full on fall color doesn't seem right when it's still hot.

This top is one of my favorites but hasn't been worn in a while. It's the perfect top to switch between work and casual with its ruffle cap sleeve, especially when the temps are still warm. See how I wore it with shorts here.

I tried to keep this from being too boring by going with the cognac heels instead of black. If you want to be a little more trendier, try this block heel pair. Block heels are in this fall.

It's another Bridgette Raes inspired look. Remember I said I may or may not have fallen in love with a necklace in this post and went on an ebay hunt for it? This is it. I had all the basic pieces to recreate these outfits but needed the accessories. I 'm on love with the necklace and this purse. I'm amazed at how much the purse goes with and the color is refreshing after years and years of brown and black bags. And fall or not, I'm sure you will see this necklace again.

Black and White Gingham

I began to get a little bored with just black and white outfits, so I used a black and white base of a gingham shirt and black pants and added a little bit of color with mustard flats. Leopard is another neutral but adds a fun pattern. The khaki blazer helped keep this more in line with business attire. And yes, you have seen this Stella and Dot necklace a lot. I have worn it a lot since I purchased it and love how it breaks down to make multiple necklaces.

Just over a week ago these leaves were gorgeous! Now they are gone. How quickly nature changes and passes us by.

On another note, if you want to be casual and still polished, add a blazer. I like to dress up for church, but didn't feel like it last week. I wanted to wear jeans because I knew we were going straight to lunch and then to do a lot of shopping afterwards, but I added a blazer to feel a little more dresssed up. And I carried the red purse again.
