I finally had a day at work suitable for wearing a skirt. Of course I chose a pencil skirt. It's my go to choice for the office, but outside of work, I love a full midi or aline skirt. I had this top and skirt combination in my head last year and never got around to wearing it. This top has an open back that's not suitable for my office so I also threw a cropped black blazer over it. And who would have thought that you could find a stunning pair of statement earrings at Tuesday Morning? for around $6? I'll let you in on a little secret. I rarely never pay more than $10 for a pair of earrings. I love costume jewelry and the cheaper, the better. This ring is a DIY from a vintage clip on earring. I just cut the clip off and glued it  to a ring base from the craft store.

Drapey pants

I picked up both of these pieces over Memorial Day weekend during a brief stop at the new Tanger Outlet in Pooler. It took me a while to get around to wearing them because they are too casual for work. I didn't buy them to wear together but it worked out. Black/white stripes + olive always work. These pants are a great pair of "fat pants." You know what I mean, when you feel a little bigger or bloated and you want loose comfy pants? These fit the bill. They will be a great item for me to move into fall with as well because our fall season tend to be a bit warm.

I've always loved a wrap top or dress but could never seem to find a great fit that would allow me to keep it together. Enter the faux wrap. Yes please! This tee is so soft and comfy. I love that it creates some shape but hides bumps and bulges at the same time. I highly recommend everyone have a faux wrap top in their wardrobe. I paired this bright one with patterned shorts. I would have never done this pre-blogging days, but I've learned a few things. I think the shoes and necklace tie it together.

Hope you had a great weekend and that your week is off to a great start! I try and respond to comments here on the blog. I'd love to reply by email but that's not always possible as everyone is not on the same platform, but reply or not, know that I appreciate your input and comments.

I have seen these knot tees on a couple of other bloggers, so I caved and ordered a couple. This tee, along with this maxi skirt, is a close to wearing pajamas as you can get while still looking pulled together. I wore this to church a couple of weeks ago and wore it all day long. So comfortable. I had gotten away from maxis dresses and skirts, but have renewed an interest in this this summer.
