So plaid

Jacket- Target (old)  option  option
blouse- JCPenney option option
pants- Limited  option

necklace- gift  option
worn-Feb. 2, 2015

This jacket made an appearance last year on several blogs I follow but seemed to be a "one hit wonder". Everyone had to have it, but then I only saw most of them style it once and move on.  I have been meaning to bring mine back out all season. I paired it with a red blouse. This first time I went with a cream color top. I guess options could be a little limited with this piece because you have to stay with the same three colors, but I love it and I'm willing to push it's limits.

Plaid and a bird

Sweater- Target option  option

shoes- Merrell option
worn Jan. 24, 2015

I know that graphic sweaters and birds are not as popular as they used to be but I think they are still fun to wear. I've been waiting for an opportunity to pair mine with this plaid shirt. Saturday was that opportunity. I wore it with the jeans and my hiking shoes because I knew I would be on my feet for a few hours and needed comfort. Otherwise, booties would have been my footwear choice.

Plaid ankle pants

Sweater- Dress Barn option option
pants- Loft option
shoes- Target  option
earrings- old  option
worn Jan. 16, 2015

I didn't get this post up this morning like I wanted to. I had issues with my computer. That should be remedied soon because I've got a new one. I've just got to learn it and get some of the contents of the old one transferred over. Anyone using Windows 8.1? I'm a little lost right now.

Hope you all had a good week. Mine has been exhausting but exciting things are in store for us, so hopefully the extra work will be worth it.

About these pants- they don't  have a bit of burgundy/red/oxblood in them but certainly pair well with this color. I got the idea straight from the Loft website.

Sweater dress

I'm not sure what to say except I'm so glad it's Friday! What a long week. Holiday buzz is in full swing. I arrived home yesterday to a stack of packages almost as high as the entryway trees at my door. Now someone has to wrap all that stuff.

Let's talk for a minute about a different wrap, or the blanket scarf. I love this one. It's so cozy. I purchased another one earlier in the season but have not had the opportunity to wear it yet. This one has been worn twice now.

Elbow patches

worn Nov. 27, 2014

I love it when I can try a trend without spending a lot. Such is the case with this elbow patch shirt. Elbow patches seem to be popular this fall, so when I found this shirt on clearance at Target, I scooped it up. The fact that it is plaid made the decision even easier.

My go to casual shoes this fall have been my riding boots. They are quite comfortable and work with jeans, leggings and skirts. Do you have a pair? A brown pair is on my wish list.

Camel, cobalt, and plaid

Blazer- Forever 21  option
sweater - Gap option  option
pants- Loft
necklace - JCrew factory option  option
shoes- JCPenney option  option
worn Nov. 18, 2014

So many of my favorite things here- cobalt, plaid- which one do we talk about? I love that these pants are plaid but still subtle enough for work. I also love that they coordinate with camel and cobalt. Camel and cobalt is one of my favorite fall/ winter color pairings.

Have you jumped straight into winter? The temps dipped pretty low here last week (well low for South Georgia) but today is back around 70. I don't think I can remember it being this cold before Thanksgiving. I do remember wearing short sleeves on Thanksgiving in years past. The seasons here are so unpredictable. I wish it would stay cold for a while. I struggle with business attire for the winter, but I think layering a blazer over a sweater like this outfit works for me. It will be a "go to" formula when we do hit a permanent cold spell.

You can view SIX more ways I've worn this blazer HERE.
