I hope you all had a blessed Christmas with family and friends. We had a blast, but I'm going to admit, it is all so exhausting. I'm glad I had a day off yesterday to rest. It's back to work today.

So the calendar officially ushered in Old Man Winter just before Christmas. I'm grateful that we are having some cold weather this year. Winter can get long and hard for many, and it can be tempting to get into a rut with outfits. We tend to think of pink and pastels for spring, but I love them in the winter too. How about adding them to our winter wardrobe to soften the palette a bit? This pink plaid scarf does just that against this background of black and grey.

I picked up this hat during the Black Friday sales. At first, I was a little skeptical of it, but after styling and wearing it, it was the better fit and choice. I also ordered this one from Ann Taylor, and even though the width of the hat is smaller, it is a one size fits all and it was too big for my head. This Banana Republic hat comes in two sizes and the small/medium worked perfectly for me. The mere fact that it fits made it look better. It's on super sale right now and you can get it for less than $20. Go snatch it up. Banana Republic also has lots of items 60% off. This pull through faux fur scarf would be another great way to add some pink to your winter closet.
