There is a lot going on here. Layering, pattern mixing, mixing brown and black, and mixing ivory and white.

I have long gotten past the rule of not mixing brown and black. I'm perfectly happy with the way it looks together, especially tied together with something like this leopard scarf. Now, I'm not so sure about white and ivory. My vest is ivory and my top is black and white. I didn't realize my vest was SO ivory until I grabbed it. Of course I was in a hurry, so I didn't really have much time to think about it, and I rolled with it anyway. I was going for this pin, or this one. Do you mix white and ivory?
Style tip: Dress this look up a little with velvet pants.
