Cut it out

bracelets- Alex and Ani

You may have noticed a trend with my outfits lately featuring scarves and a few skirts here and there. It was too hot to wear winter scarves and blanket scarves in the winter, but our late winter and early spring has been perfect for light weight spring scarves, so I'm getting my fill now. I've also had these jacket earrings on repeat and these cut out flats have been my go to as well. I purchased them  three years ago at Target but they did not get the attention they deserve until now.

Work to play: 2 pieces 2 ways

I love having pieces that can be worn multiple ways and in multiple settings. Today we are going to talk about taking pieces from work to play, specifically this striped top and mint statement necklace. I'll  also point out a few things that make a piece more versatile.

Interjecting color

Cardigan- Tommy Hilfiger via Poshmark  option  option

shoes- TJMaxx  option  option  option
bracelet-Charmed Stacks  option
necklace- via Poshmark  option
earrings- old  option   option

I know that I said yesterday that I had been wearing a lot of greys but I did interject some color one day recently. I love a pop of color like this pink against an otherwise neutral outfit. Sometimes you just need to brighten up a day.

Are you still shopping for gifts or have you wrapped it up? If you still need ideas, then check out my gift guides page. I also suggest a pair of timeless 14K gold hoops for a lady of any age. I've had mine for around 20 years now and I reach for them over and over, especially when I'm wearing a statement necklace and just need a simple earring.

Some of you are having winter and snow, while we are having a humid 75-80 degree day. Nonetheless, my mind seems to have turned to winter palettes and I've been wearing a lot of burgundy and grey lately. Just beware, you will see a lot of this color in the days to come.

I still have lots of holiday stuff to do so I'm cutting this short. I actually have extra stuff to do since one of hubbys items (gift) arrived opened and loose in the package. GRRR... Now I have to return it and wait on another.

I hope you are having a great week.

Long cardigan

Cardigan-   Old Navy      option option  option
striped tee- Target  option   option   option
jeans- Loft
scarf- Target  option
booties- JCPenney  option  option   option

Remember the long cardigans everyone was swooning over during the July Nsale? I bought one but found this one at Old Navy for less money and actually like it better. I try not to wear too long of layers due to my height, or lack of. I love the pockets on the front. This exact one doesn't seem to be available, but I've linked up it's twin and some other options.

Blush and grey

Cardigan- Maurices  option  option  option
top- Nordstrom  option  option
jeans- Levis  option  option  option
bootie- Nordstrom
necklace- Kendra Scott
bracelet- Rocksbox  option  option
ring- Rocksbox/ House of Harlow

I love the combination of blush and grey. I also think these burgundy booties really set this off. If you are thinking, now yesterday you showed us a blanket scarf and sweater and today it's a tank and loose knit cardigan, how odd?... well, this is how schizophrenic and manic our weather is. Both outfits were worn in the same week.

I'd like to have a dressier blouse in this blush color for work. If you know where I should look, please leave me a comment.
