Burgundy boots take two

Shirt- JCrew Factory  option  option
jeans- Loft
bracelet- Alex and Ani
leopard clutch- Nordstrom  option  option  option

Yes, I wore these booties two days in a row. I loved the results I got pairing them against the white and with this red plaid. I could make this a daily fall uniform if only I could wear this to work.

See four more ways to wear this plaid shirt HERE.

Speaking of work, I worked late and brought home more work to do so I'm cutting this post short. Thanks for following and I always appreciate your sweet comments.

White jeans for fall

Tee- Old Navy
jeans- Loft  option  option

booties- JCP  similar  option  option
earrings- JCP  option  option
bracelets- made by me  option option  option

White jeans are totally acceptable after Labor Day now. Taking white jeans into fall is easily done by pairing them with neutral colors. I'm pairing mine with this Old Navy tee that I raved about in this post. This is my fall formula- jeans+tee+booties. It's still too warm for much else, but at least it's cool enough for jeans most evenings.

Jeans and booties

Tee- Express  option  option  option
jeans- Loft
booties- Target  option  option  option
bracelet- Kendra Scott
necklace- JCRew Factory  option
earrings- JCP  option  option

I wore this outfit twice last week. It was just so easy to put together. Accessories take it  a notch above just jeans and a tee. The ankle booties are my nod to fall and that's about all I can do in the heat we still have. At least it did cool off enough to wear jeans. I hear we may have low 80s next week. I guess that's better than high 80s and 90.

Hope you had a great week. It has been a busy one for me, so I'm really looking forward to the weekend!

Blushing into fall

Blouse- JCrew Factory  option  option
vest- Banana Republic  option  option
pants- Belk (old)  option  option
shoes- TJMaxx  option  option  option
necklace- Rocksbox  option

Happy Friday! I'm trying to throw this up quickly so I may have to come back and make some edits. This blouse has been a workhorse in my wardrobe. See how I've worn it 9 other ways here.  Polka dots are just so fun. If JCrew Factory ever brings it back, snatch it up.  I also still feel intimidated by vests, even though I love them and the look on others. I saw some cute ones in TJMaxx yesterday and almost bought another one. I refrained, at least for yesterday.

Fall transition pieces on sale

I'm beginning to give in to the fact that fall is coming. Actually, I'm dying for the cooler weather to come, but I know it will still be too warm here for full on boots, scarves and sweaters. Instead, fall for me means changing the color palette of my wardrobe and adding in some booties.  Here are ten pieces currently on sale that would be great for fall transitioning.  That cognac tote is reversible and could be flipped over for a new tote come spring.

Ya'll, I'll admit I've had a difficult time getting into the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Everyone says it's one of the best ones ever, but I've been seeing everyone's picks and posts and I've not been overly impressed.  It's just that it's so hot here, and we may be wearing shorts into October, it's hard for me to even fathom that I need anything for fall.

Are you tired of seeing the same ol' thing over and over? I am. Just sayin. I know there are some popular items we all like, but I get tired of seeing them. But I will admit that the more I see the posts and the more I search the website, the more things grow on me. So I've been searching for some things that can be worn early fall in the South and layered later in the winter. I've also tried to pick some things that haven't been posted over and over, and I kept it under $100. I don't know about your, but some things just aren't in my budget, even on sale.

I will also be sharing a business professional set of picks later, so make sure you are following me so you won't miss it. There truly are lots of great items out there and it's hard to stick them all in one post.

It's a great time to stock up on some classics and basics or dip your toes into a trend. The skinny neck scarf is coming onto the scene, so now might be a good time to give this trend a try. They have one in a floral print too. If you need boots, buy them now. I bought my cognac riding boots last year, so I don't need any this year. I've got the boots covered with a cognac pair, black pair, and a couple of heeled pairs for work. That's another reason I can't get into the sale- I've got most of my basics covered.

We are in the early access phase so you need a Nordstrom debit or credit card to shop. Sign up here.

Red for Valentine's

Sweater- JCP   option   option
pants- TJMaxx  option   option
scarf- Target  option   option  option
booties- TJMaxx  option  option  option
earrings- JCP   option
worn Jan. 28, 2016

I'd wear this outfit any day of the winter season, but if you're wanting to be in the spirit of the upcoming Valentine's holiday, it would be perfect for that. Take the red vneck sweater straight from the office to dinner. Ditch the scarf and add some bling, change to skinny jeans and it becomes a date night outfit without completing changing.
