I'm doing the very thing I harped about not liking last week. I'm posting lots of photos. In my defense, there's two versions of the outfit. And I've provided a break with text and details, so if you don't want to look past the first three photos, you can stop here. But if you don't, thanks for looking. Above is what I actually wore to church a couple of weeks ago. I think palazzo pants just scream "big floppy hat" but that would be rude to wear the hat in church so I didn't. I just couldn't help playing around and styling this look with the hat too for photos.

Oh and this could be the last time you see these pants. I washed them and put them in the dryer like the instructions said, tumble dry low. I was hoping for a little shrinkage because they were so long, but I got a lot of shrinkage, like, I've got to now cover my booty in these because they are a bit tight, kind of shrinkage.

Shrinkage? is that even a word?

I didn't like the way my wide brim straw hat looked with the white dress, but the GYPO summer challenge day 15 called for giving it another try. The outfit formula for that day was a lace top + patterned shorts + floppy hat+ espadrilles.   I went with a floral pattern,  and decided to work on the floppy hat a bit. I like the "floppy" but lady like look better than the straight out wide brim look (do you know what I'm talking about?) so I did some shaping to the hat. Just a little bending here and there. Much better. I think it works better with this outfit overall too. I think a floppy hat would be super cute with a floral romper and wedges, but I've yet to add a romper to my wardrobe. I wore those in the early '90s, so I haven't totally missed out.
