Crop pants for spring

I know you have seen a lot of blush here lately, but I just love blush for spring. I also love crop pants for spring. Spring is time to show a little more skin, so why not start with the ankles?

The best Spring pants

My favorite Spring pants are these Old Navy Harper pants. I bought these last year and I didn't get as much wear as I would have liked, but they are strong in the rotation this year.  They are back in stock and available again this year. I did size up a good bit when I bought them. I've been styling them more on the casual side, but they would make a great work pant if you have a more business casual environment. They are just a tad too short to be appropriate for my office. At least that's my opinion. No one has ever said we could not wear "cropped pants"; I just don't think the vibe is right for my office. We definitely can't wear capris.  Who wears capris anymore, anyway?

I love this color for spring. These pants are also a heavier weight which makes them a good choice for the cooler spring temps. I definitely can't wear them during our summers.

Hope you are having a great week!

How to dress for fall when it's hot

We had some weekend errands to run weekend before last and  the temperatures were back up to HOT. So how do you still feel a little like fall? Grab your loose comfy boyfriend jeans and throw on a fall colored tee.  (Yes, I have the same one in grey and I love it.) To elevate the jeans+tee outfit, add some cute flats and accessories. In this case, I went with leopard flats because leopard reminds me of fall. I don't feel completely dressed when I don't have on some accessory, so I have been reaching for this Alex and Ani bracelet a lot when I want to keep it low key but still have my "fix".

Hope you have a fabulous week!  Please know that I always appreciate your comments. It may take me while to respond or acknowledge them, but I do read them and treasure them.

Transitioning with gingham

skirt- Loft outlet  option  option  option
shoes- Target  option  option
purse- Nine West via TJMaxx  option  option
bracelet- made by me  option  option

How do you transition to fall when it's still 90 degrees outside? With a dark color but lightweight gingham button up and a skirt, of course! Add some leopard flats and you've got instant fall vibes. Even thought I consider leopard a year round neutral, I turn to it more in the fall. Had it not been 90 degrees out, I might have gone with more of a fall twist with booties, a felt hat and a bandana scarf at the neck, but I'm sure I would have turned heads, and for the wrong reasons, in our town had I done that. Most folks haven't given up shorts and tee shirts yet.

How do you transition to fall?

Chambray dress and a blazer

So, that was a real original title, huh? It's exactly what I'm wearing. I have a foggy brain thanks to the loss of an hour this weekend. I love the longer daylight hours, but it happens naturally, so why do we have to mess with the clock?

I based this outfit on a pin I have saved, but I can't seem to find it to link to right now. I guess I have too many pins? The inspiration outfit has sneakers, but I was going to a church and a wedding shower later, so I switched to my leopard flats so I would be a little dressier. This is one of those season neutral outfits that could  work fall or spring.  See how I last wore this dress in the fall HERE and  four more ways HERE.
